Is the listening experience better now that it's in film order?

Yes, it is. Although there isnĀ“t much more music compared to the version edited by Goldsmith I always find that his scores are 'flowing' better when they are in film order.

This is a sensational release all round!!
The sound is vastly improved on both discs than the original - the clarity of the orchestrations is breathtaking. The "finds" are excellent - orchestral pop version of theme and the rambo II trailer music. And i love the way the fanfare played at the end of the film as stallone comes out of the building seques into the instrumental of the theme!

And the music is first rate action writing from Goldsmith on top of his form. Both discs are essential! Seriously, since Dec 25 when my wife gave it to me it has hardly been out of the player!

Agreed! That's one of my favorite new aspects of this release, in addition to the pop rendition of the main theme.

I'm curious about something. I played my original Intrada against the new one and some tracks sound slightly faster in tempi. Tracks like Hanging On seem faster and don't breath as much as the original Intrada or Varese version. Weird.

Interesting. I just got my Intrada, so when I listen, I'll give it a comparison.
