Hi Folks,

We have a good relationship going with CBS and are thinking about future titles to release. Obviously shows like Hawaii Five-0, Wild Wild West and Gunsmoke would be great but these are MASSIVE projects.

In the meantime, what are easier to do are TV movie scores and shows with not many episodes to sort through.

Want to know how we pick what to release? The CBS music library resides at UCLA as far as scores and masters and you can search the holdings (probably 85% of it is itemized) here:

http://www.oac.cdlib.org/findaid/ark:/13030/kt8x0nd51b

So I'm calling for volunteers: search the holdings (you'll figure out how to do it) and look up composers (at imdb) and post in this thread projects you'd like to hear. Maybe this could be our second TV Omnibus...

Thanks

Lukas

I am sure that The Reivers would be a popular release.

Honestly? There's nothing in those archives that are grails of mine - anything will do. smile

There's some Robert Folk content in there that I wouldn't mind hearing, however...

Right off the bat, they seem to have tapes on three fine Morton Stevens made-for-TV films--SHE WAITS, FACE OF FEAR, and his great "Adrian Messenger Homage", HORROR AT 37,000 FEET.

There also seems to be tapes on Lalo Schifrin's THE CHRISTIAN LICORICE STORE, John Parker's DARKER THAN AMBER, Jerome Moross' HAIL HERO, Dave Grusin's ADAM AT 6 A.M., Rosenman's A MAN CALLED HORSE, Mancini's ME, NATALIE,
and both Schifrin's rejected score and Williams' final score for THE REIVERS, among others.

Morton Stevens! DUH! Another composer I am VERY interested in hearing more of. How could I have forgotten him?

Anything by Schifrin - and the Reivers with Williams and Schifrin sounds like a winner!

Gilligan's Island and, after all of the elements have been rounded up, The Wild Wild West.

I mentioned "The Munsters" without doing a search first; turns out it's not part of the archive.

Gilligan!

Of all the titles listed in their archives, Gilligan's Island is the one that I'd most love to have. It's one of my all-time favorite TV series. Several others got me all excited for a second (Airwolf, for one), but they don't have full episode scores, just main themes.

It's been awhile since I've watched an episode of Gilligan, though, and I'm wondering if there's anything more substantial than 20 second-long mickey mousey type cues.
