Ah, The Apartment. Marvelous. Shirley was the warmup act for Sinatra at a concert at Radio City and I had a seat just a few rows from the front, center stage. She was great and we even had pretty good eye contact a few times. Really a dynamic performer; especially enjoyed her “If They Could See Me Now” from Sweet Charity as she incorporated pieces of the familiar Fosse choreography.
British actor William Roache (Coronation Street) turned 92 yesterday. US actress Lynn Hamilton turned 94. And it turns out US writer Octavia Waldo died some years ago.
