"Would you mind not shooting at the thermonuclear weapons?"

Alright you fanboys of 90's action flicks -- La La Land is proud to announce our next Action extravaganza:

BROKEN ARROW music by Hans Zimmer
LLLCD 1164
LIMITED EDITION of 3000 units
Retail Price: $24.98
Produced by Nick Redman
Mastered by Daniel Hersch at Digiprep
Liner Notes by Al Kaplan
Art Direction by David C Fein

This 2 disc set of John Woo's over-the-top thermonuclear weapon heist flick features over 30 minutes of never before released music! Clocking in at 116 minutes, this balls-to-the-wall action score pays homage to the Spaghetti Western sound, but manages to drench it in a Red Bull sauce! It's truly a must for fans of Mr. Zimmer.

Next up comes a great film noir score from our friend Kristopher Carter (Superman TAS, Justice League, Batman Beyond, Ben 10, Batman: Brave and the Bold)

YESTERDAY WAS A LIE music by Kristopher Carter
Songs performed by Chase Masterson
LLLCD 1163
LIMITED EDITION of 1000 units
Retail Price: $15.98
Produced by Kristopher Carter and MV Gerhard
Mastered by James Nelson at Digital Outland
Art Direction by Mark Banning

Carter fashions a sumptuously dark musical atmosphere for this inventive noir, perfectly complementing the film’s unique cocktail of intrigue, thrills, and earth-shattering cosmological secrets. Cast member Chase Masterson brings heat to the spellbinding sonic mix with vocal performances on the songs “YESTERDAY WAS A LIE” and “HE WON'T FORGET YOU”.

A Limited amount of copies of Yesterday Was Lie will be signed by the composer, the director and the two leads in the film.

Both cds will be made available for sale next Tuesday, FEBRUARY 15 at 1 pm PST

Ah, Ain't It Cool?

I would doubt it but considering you are getting the 116 minute version of the score I would say that like all of LaLaLand's presentations it will be resequenced [like BATMAN RETURNS].

Either way glad that slowly but surely other RC/MV releases are finally out.

BAD BOYS and BROKEN ARROW officially released.

Now all we need are expanded THE ROCK, FACE/OFF, ARMAGEDDON, CON AIR, THE PEACEMAKER, THE LAST SAMURAI, and THE THIN RED LINE.

I am pleasantly surprised by this post. Never thought I'd see a label promoting an expanded release for a Zimmer score. I hope this means certain other 90s titles by the composer might get a chance in the near future too. Especially the early 90s titles, like Backdraft, League of Their Own, or Cool Runnings.

I haven't really played Broken Arrow in ages, but it's a very cool score. I don't think I will buy a 2CD version though. But kudos to LaLa anyway! We always like more Zimmer!

Great release MV, looking forward to Broken Arrow. Listening to the original release now - great early Zimmer score.
Hopefully La-La Land can bring more of Zimmer's early works like League, Backdraft, Thelma & Louise, and Rain Man

Sounds great! I'll definitely check out the Zimmer. And Carter does have some great work for DC - I'll check out the samples when those go up next week.

Awesome MV! Wikipedia updated!

I actually own the Broken Arrow OST, it was one of my earliest CD purchaes..... in the days when I was obsessed with The Rock and sought out anything I could find that was like it (ended up with Crimson Tide, The Peacemaker, Broken Arrow, Face/Off, Con Air)... haven't listened to most of those in a long time.

I always loved the one theme from Broken Arrow that was tracked into Scream 2 for the Dewey character

BTW, MV, the "soundtrack forum" link on www.lalalandrecords.com appears to be down...

I agree.

I'll have to hear some sound samples before buying though, because I don't know this composer.

Can anyone point me towards any samples so I can get an idea of what he sounds like? smile
