Darth Vader responds to Thor's request for a second season of THE TERROR:

"Noooooooooo!"

S.2 is set in a Japanese- American internment camp.
George "Mr..Sulu from STAR TREK" is involved. Naturally.

Added the new Netflix show THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE to the list.

Looking forward to this one!

Sucks.

I highly recommend the 2006 mini series The Lost Room. It’s about a collection of objects found in a hotel room in the 50s. Resulting from a mysterious occurrence in which the occupant vanished, each object carries a unique ability, some are incredibly powerful and highly sought after by an underground network of rich and powerful. others which are merely curiosities or even undesirable. The objects have been spread far and wide because having them all returned to one place could have devastating effects.

The story follows a police detective who inadvertently ends up with a mysterious key which will open any door into the hotel room, a sort of dimensional purgatory, which continually resets to its original state causing any object left in the room to disappear. The detective’s daughter disappears into the room and he sets out on a dangerous journey to discover the network of objects and owners in a desperate bid to rescue her.

Honestly, no one seems to know about this show, but my wife and I love it. It skillfully mixes tension and humor with some great performances by mostly little-known actors with a great sci-fi premise that keeps you guessing. The first episode is just a setup and feels more like a cop show, but once you get past that it picks right up.

Edit: 1960s not 1950s!

Thanks for the recommendation! I'll add it to the list.

Don't mind Bruce's disparaging remarks about THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE. One of the very best TV shows this year.

Oh...and I also finished GAME OF THRONES recently, which was brilliant!

Thor gets it - for a change!

I wholeheartedly recommend Dead Like Me and The Good Place, though I have yet to see Pushing Daisies.

Not a paranormal show, but added DAS BOOT to the non-scifi part of the list. A great show!

I'm surprised no one has mentioned NIGHTFLYERS yet. I haven't seen the 1987 movie, nor read the novella, but the concept is right up my alley.

Well, the first 5-6 episodes were okay, but then it descended into silly SyFy channel rubbish in the last few episodes, IMO.

Anyone seen THE TRIANGLE?
I am wary seeing that Sam " The Ham" Neil is innit.

The book and movie and score are all good!

Is there ANYTHING that both you and I like, Bruce?

EXPANSE is going to Netflix!
Might try it again.

EXPANSE has been on Netflix here in Europe for a while.

I'll add THE TRIANGLE to the list, thanks for the suggestion.

Thor, have you checked out a two-season lasting show called "Powers" from 2015? It has it's faults, but not so bad (in my view) that it's not worth watching.

Just finished the new animated Netflix anthology series LOVE, DEATH AND ROBOTS. Episodes are uneven in quality, but mostly it was really entertaining and well done. What a neat concept! Hoping there will be a second season.

Sounds interesting. Thanks for the heads up.
I assume it is adult animation?

Brm

P.s Thor embracing the anthology format. Excellent!

Definitely adult animation, yes.

Yeah, I'm starting to warm to the 'anthology' format somewhat. But it needs to be at a certain quality level, and I still prefer series with a story arc.
