Now see, thats what I'm talking about! Order the CD, and get the digital download as well in the mean time. Way to go! More music needs this treatment.

The 2CD limited edition is a bit pricey ($40) but due to the fact that Mark Isham will sign it, I know at least one person in the board who's gonna buy it smile

And don't forget there is a t-shirt and only 200 copies smile

Admittedly I'll be more than happy with the $15 for the digital version of the 2CD album.

Bought it yesterday (the $40 edition) and got to download the complete album today, and I am loving it to bits. I prefer the "hands on" Isham, rather than the synth-based Isham, and here is full value.

Highly recommended.

Hmmm....not my "cup of Isham" then. I prefer the synth-based Isham a la CRASH, IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH etc.

interesting way of releasing his scores: one CD is the "listening experience" CD and the other the "all-the-bits-of-music put together" CD.

Its also nice that you get the choice of file formats for your download so you can go for MP3 or FLAC. Have to hand it to Mark Isham, he really seems to think of his fans. His website is brilliant with download excerpts of unreleased scores and regular webchats. I might not love every score he does but he remains my favourite composer.

I agree, the man does seem to know how to promote himself through his website!

With the previous track-record for Isham and Robert Redford, with River Runs Through it, Quiz Show and the Legend of Bagger Vance, I had high expectations for this score, as I (opposite to Thor) like Isham's symphonic and jazzy works better than the electronic. And, as stated above, the score is excellent. Also, nice to hear Zöe Keating contribute. I have been a fan of her cello since I first heard her in Rasputina, years ago.

Isham had nothing to do with THE LEGEND OF BAGGER VANCE. That film was scored by Rachel Portman.

Ahh.. I knew that. My bad.. Thanks James. Another favorite composer of mine, Mrs. Portman, though.

Silly me. I was listening to this score on my iPod on the way into work.

I got the 2 disc version with the download, etc. and wasn't really paying attention to the titles of the "edited version" and the "complete" one.

I couldn't figure out why Mark Isham chose to call the edited version the (s)Edition. but then it hit me: Sedition. Very clever.

I've been trying to order some CDs from Isham's web site, but I'm afraid every CD you order requires an instant payment with the complete S&H for each single CD.

Does anybody know if there is any form to order several different titles within one order, instead of making one order for each title? I suppose you can save some money on shipping doing this (that's interesting specially when you order internationally).

This CD and the Mechanic are going to be signed at Dark Delicacies this weekend, but does anyone know why Isham is choosing to self publish and distribute, rather than distribute through 'normal channels' i.e. SAE, Amazon ( i know the US site has it listed at $28 for an import ) ?
