Can anyone tell me if the More Than a Miracle LP was a rerecording or an edit of the film tracks? Thanks in advance!
Hi, JRb.
The stereo MGM LP was edited by David Greene from the original recordings, which were done in February 1967 at the International Recording Studios in Rome.
There was an Italian LP (in mono) featuring different tracks from the MGM LP, but all music was from the Rome recording sessions.
The only item not by Piero Piccioni was the song "More Than A Miracle", done by Roger Williams & his orchestra (track #1 on the MGM LP) specifically for the U.S.A. release.

Thanks a lot. The online liner notes reference a lot of the tracks as being the "LP" version of a cue, but are a little ambiguous as to whether or not it's a different recording. I appreciate the info.
Thanks to the recent FSM sale, I was finally able to scratch this one off of my wish list, where it had been sitting since April 2011.
This is my first outing into Piccioni's work. I love the Prince Rodrigo theme from More than a Miracle, and holy cow, this set presents us with a million variations on it.
Thanks to Ron Pulliams own personal reccomendation and post above I have placed this Order from the SAE FSM 20% discount Sale. (Which closes today 13th Feb)
