D-1!
Trailer for "the most anticipated soundtrack release of the year"

Courtesy of Lyle

HOLY F&^%! That is one of the coolest things I have ever seen! That said, this is a fan made trailer. Neither Fox nor La La Land Records had anything to do with it.

MV

I'm Lyle and I produced this trailer, to express enthusiasm for the release and to help push more units. So thanks for the compliments and you're welcome.

We've waited a long, long time for this release. I grew up in Australia watching The X-Files, a mini-movie every week which tackled big themes and ideas. But it was the music that reeled me right in, which made me sit up and pay attention to the power of the score as storytelling, which spawned my interest in editing and ultimately brought me to NYC cutting top film trailers. It's this deadline driven business, that Mark Snow realized his brilliant themes on a weekly basis - often with just 3-5 days to score an episode - makes me admire his craftsmanship even more.

The set is phenomenal. I'm curious why certain cues already available (Jose Chung's From Outer Space, Christmas Carol, The Post-Modern Prometheus) made it at the expense of others, but as Mark Snow and LLL have so meticulously produced this set then it truly reflects the best musical moments from The X-Files. Can't wait to receive it and looking forward to Volume 2. I'll cut the trailer.

Here's a higher quality, 720p Quicktime: http://xfiles.exeterstreet.net/XFILESVOL1_TRAILER.mov . Enjoy.

Cheers,
Lyle

Beautiful work Lyle, just beautiful. I've never seen a trailer for a soundtrack release in my entire, yet this is exactly how I would imagine one being done. It highlights the show, the music itself and how much of an impact it has made.

I must say this - you people are sick! smile

I would understand if La-La Land had major problems (ultimately they where back on-line after a few minutes) but crashing FSM forum?!

It was all a conspiracy.....

Have no idea how many copies they sold, but they aren't sold out yet.
