Unfortunately the Labels can only work with the images studios allow them to have. They can't just do their own thing. But this is a great score and LLL presentation is wonderful.

That's not entirely true. Where Bad Girls is concerned, it's not the choice of images that are in question, it's their positioning and the fonts used. Very, very amateurish indeed.

It *is* a tremendous score!

This is one of those Goldsmith scores I overlooked or missed before - and what a pleasant surprise! Lovely themes!

Not a big fan of late stage Goldsmith but this score is infectious.

I never seem to get LLL's emails. And that link doesn't work...
Release date or any other details?

Sadly it's out of print and has been for about a year or so. I love The Hanging but never got a chance to pick this one up.

This a fun and rousing score and for me one of his better westerns. The first 2 tracks are awesome.

Ohh.. my mind is going! I thought, LLL was expanding their expansion (which I have)!

Just to prove I'm not averse to eating humble pie and admitting when I'm wrong (or, moreover, when I've come around to a different way of thinking), I bought the original Fox CD of this score when it was first released and remember thinking there was about 20 minutes of decent material to take away from it (did it run about 40 mins?).
I wasn't too keen on the sappy (bland?) Main Theme and I hated that loud, percussive effect that rang throughout the score.
I did like that explosive, action motif ala RAMBO and there was some lovely, gentle Americana moments that were quite pleasing too.
I didn't buy (or even consider) the LLL expanded edition, when it was announced, but picked it up for about $10 in one of their sales thereafter, on a whim (and by then, this level Goldsmith was so much better than most of the dross that was surrounding me).
I discovered there was so much music, not on the original album, that I favoured over the stuff that was on the Fox CD.
And the sound seemed to be much better to my ears too.
While I still whittled away some of the more bland renditions of 'The John' theme and that harsh synth/percussion motif that keeps punctuating a lot of tracks, I do enjoy this score a whole lot more thanks to the expanded edition that LLL gave the world.

So...yeah...

Terrific score for a (sadly) awful movie.

I love the LLL expanded edition. Though after so long of listening to the original release, the edit that splits "The Hanging" and "The Snake" with that track inbetween makes me grit my teeth

Same frustration here - so I combined these two cues again via GarageBand and inserted that for my own custom album edit of the score.
