Just bought my ticket, and I'll be making the 6 1/2 hour drive from Phoenix to Hollywood for this. Any way to get this CD early is the way to go. Plus I've always wanted to see this movie on the big screen, and getting to meet Bob Gale, Nancy Allen, and Eddie Deezen is a big plus as well. I'm looking forward to an awesome night next Sunday, as long as nothing stops me either.

I was just informed that the screening of 1941 is SOLD OUT.

This is very exciting. It gives us hope for future soundtrack release screenings just like this.

Best,

Nobody should have their phone out during the movie.

I wish I could be there (Nancy Allen, swoon) but sadly I LIVE IN THE UK! This is like torture!

No, I kid, it sounds like it will be a great time, and I'll be first in the queue to order the CD online. I've got a friend who's not that into soundtracks but is a Spielberg / Williams obsessive so I'll try and prod him into an order too.

A complete transcript afterwards would be nice.

UPDATE:

Nancy Allen had to drop out of Sunday's Q&A. She really wanted to be there, but is putting together a large We Spark charity event at the Alex Theater in Glendale on Monday, (which everyone should support), and in the end, understandably, could not get away. Bob Gale and Eddie Deezen will be present for the Q&A as announced.

Anybody who was/is at tonight's screening got any stories to share?

I'm guessing Eddie Deezen is, at this moment, still keeping the crowd enthralled with tales
of the merciless torture of the late Murray Hamilton.

*chuckles* Agreed Neil, I know the movie well enough anyway smile

Just been reading Jason's interview with Mike to tide me over http://www.jwfan.com/?p=929

Tomorrow can't come soon enough (well and then the 2-3 week wait for the CD to arrive - argh)

It was a fantastic event! The print was pristine. The crowd was very much into the movie, with lots of laughter and applause. All of the guests (Bob Gale, Eddie Deezen and Chris Soldo) told funny, entertaining stories. It was a home run evening!

Yay, glad it worked out.

Did Bob talk about the music at all?
