Just watched this movie again.
It's a rather dark score. But it fits well with the tone of the film, which is more like a tense thriller than an action. I especially liked the gloomy synth sounds and fast percussion.
The songs in the film are also pretty good and enjoyable to listen to over and over again.

A pity Skyline is not in the film. It would have fitted in nicely on the end credits for instance.

Totally agree with you!
Believe it or not, when I regularly listened to the soundtrack album, I also thought that cue 'Skyline' would fit well into end credits.

My Favorite score from Sylvester Levay!!!

Very cool! So glad there is still someone who really really likes this soundtrack! LOL Although I'm fool should have guessed that this is your favorite - it is written in your profile! big grin
What exactly do you like about this score?

As far as Levay is concerned, no material is released before a full release of the "Airwolf" music. I've been waiting for that fornigh on 30 years. So "Airwolf" first then you can have a go.

We may have discussed this before, but I think the two 2CD sets from Mark Cairns with Airwolf music are really good, so I don't really crave more music from Airwolf.

I like all in this score but my favorite track is
The complete scene in the supermarket when cobretti shoots the madman
i like the scary synth sound when cobretti said: you disease and i'm the cure ...
And when cobretti throws the knife ...There's a big fat synth sound ...(ohh my god ,i like this sound).
I like too: the opening
Gunfight on the rooftop
Assault with the nightslasher in the garage
Weapons (scene when cobretti prepares his weapons)

Since I recently watched the film, I remember the music in these episodes quite clearly. She's very cool!
Thank you for talking!

Listening to this again now. It irritates me that the sound quality is so low-mixed and muffled. I crave a remastering. Also - of course (but that goes without saying) - more of Levay's score beyond the three cues here. An expanded release, please! big grin (that also includes the songs, I should say, including John Cafferty's poor man's Bruce Springsteen song).

I'm pretty sure labels like LLL and Intrada have looked into the possibility of releasing an expanded COBRA. I'm not sure what is holding them back.
