Some of the redone affects are pretty great. The slingshot around the sun in Tomorrow is Yesterday is amazing, the sequence finally makes sense. Even the "Enterprise in the atmosphere" stuff was really well done. Other episodes and shots didn't fare as well. The Romulan ships in The Enterprise Incident are poorly rendered, the giant Fesarius in The Corbomite Maneuver is cartoony and The Doomsday Machine shots don't always match up to the original intent. A re-do would be welcome, but only if they fix all of the sound mix issues for the mono track and actually give the series the same treatment as The Twilight Zone...

What do you mean by The Twilight Zone treatment....? The restored music in the opening credits in the first year, sponsor ads, network tags, actual accurate mono sound mix, "next week" episode previews where they belong, accurate production logos, and so on. The Twilight Zone blu rays are absolutely perfect. Star Trek has never gotten a "night of original broadcast" presentation on home video, where other shows have. Some changes have always been made.
