**Edit : Scroll down to post 8 for an in depth list of identified tracks**

Does anyone have a definitive list of tracks, or at least composers of the production music used in Creepshow? Is it only Glindemann, Markman, Green and Hormel, or are there others? I've been wanting to track down this music for quite some time now, and am only now getting some leads since finding this site.

I have managed to acquire 10 tracks which were definitely used as cues throughout the film, and another 6 or so that may have been used in part, or possibly not at all. Haven't been able to confirm, they just sound familiar. Unfortunately I have not found the main track I have been searching for which is played during the Father's Day segment, when Bedelia is drinking at her father's grave site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.

Sean

Wasn´t the same label that put together that amazing Night of the Livingdead CD working on a Creepshow CD too?
I got the song Don´t Let Go from Creepshow EP Father´s Day (when Ed Harris & Co are dancing) but haven´t looking for the rest thing...

Not anymore, unfortunately. Here's what the producer of THEY WON'T STAY DEAD! had to say about that last week:

"Unfortunately, I've no current plans for further soundtrack releases. For the amount of time and money spent in keeping THEY WON'T STAY DEAD! off of iTunes, ffshrine.org and other illegal file-sharing sites, I could have released three licensed soundtracks."

Sorry I can't help you Sean but I'd love to know what the tracks you found so far are? Huge CREEPSHOW fan. One of the best Main Titles ever!

That´s a damn shame that it has to come to thatwhen people do not support the labels releasing the stuff...I think it is important to support as it otherwise comes to that point that the labels do not see profits in releasing stuff anymore...I will never support itunes either as that would be like paying for stuff not coming from the labels then...

iTunes is "an illegal sharing site" now? Or is it that the music is old enough that some other company put it on iTunes to make money off what is PD in the country of said company?

There's at least one cue from the "Something To Tide You Over" segment of Creepshow that is also featured in the U.S. teaser trailer for 1961's Mothra.

Ok, here's the list of tracks I have accumulated thus far, and the time at which they appear, or first appear, in the movie.

*THIS LIST HAS BEEN PERIODICALLY UPDATED FROM 2011 TO THE PRESENT DAY, AND IS NOW COMPLETE*

*List removed temporarily. Stay tuned.....*

Have found an additional two cues, both Jukebox pieces from They're Creeping Up On You.

1:44.48 - Neil Amsterdam : Showtime #6
Mr. Pratt puts this track on the jukebox as he is talking to Mrs Castonmeyer.

1:49.27 - Neil Amsterdam : Big Band Era 30's
This track begins as Mr Pratt's conversation through the door with Mr White ends. Also continues on the jukebox later on after power is restored.

Hopefully be able to find some more tonight. If not, I'll be on it again after work tomorrow.

Ib Glindemann is still around: http://www.glindemann.dk/

You can find most of his production music on: http://www.ogmmusic.com/

and http://www.carlinmusic.co.uk/Css_New/login_css.asp

Much of his production music is released under alias; Erik Markman, Dan Kirsten, Henrik Nielsen, Neil Amstedam etc.

Cheers for that mate. OGMmusic is one of the sites I am currently using to track this stuff down. Although with no real leads or information, scouring through literally thousands of streamable files, from a website that looks like it was made in the mid 90s, is causing me one hell of a headache wink But, as long as it takes, I'm gonna go through everything.

After another night and another few hundred tracks, I found one more. *sigh*

26:44 - Robert Ascot : Shock
Plays for a brief few seconds at the beginning of Jordy's bad vision of going to the doctor.

I'm starting to lose it.

Nothing new to report today, other than that this track :

*25:47 - Ib Glindemann : Danger Tension
Jordy is sitting on the couch drinking Ripple, unaware of the growth accumulating outdoors.*

is also played at 1:06.41 in The Crate. It begins as Dexter and the janitor remove the grate under the stairs to access the crate.

I'll be at a work Christmas party tomorrow, and I imagine I'll be quite pissed by the time I get home, so I'll probably leave any further research until Saturday wink It would be good if you could PM others on this site, as I'm wondering whether the fellow who compiled the Night of the Living Dead library tracks would have any information, and would perhaps like to help me.

Wow, and here I was thinking that all the instrumentals ( except the classical piece in the beginning of Fathers Day ), and the Don't Let Go song were all composed by Harrison. I feel like an inferior fan to one of my all time favorite movies. I would love to see a full on soundtrack release of this one day as well.

I'd love to see a full release of the production music and Harrisons as I think they are both just perfect for the film. I'd buy this soundtrack in a heartbeat.

I believe I've found at least half of the cues. Maybe more. Over the weekend I'll sit through the movie and note down every cue that I don't have and then get back to searching. Some of them are so quiet, or so short though, that it can be very hard to pick them out. There are probably tracks I have found but just not noticed.

The only thing that worries me is that I figured everything was from the Capitol production library. However, "Don't Let Go" is a DeWolfe track. The credits to Creepshow only list Capitol/Oleg Georg as the suppliers of library music. Could this possibly mean there are tracks from other libraries used in the film but not noted, hence my difficulty in finding them? I sure hope not.

On a side note, one of the additional sound editors in the credits is "Wendy Wank". I found that amusing wink

31:10 - Phil Green : Dramatic Eerie (PG-190)
More footage of the outside growth, just before Jordy wakes up. Appears to be mixed with other tracks. Final 20 seconds or so of this track feature very similar soprano vocals to the ones heard in Something to Tide You Over [and Mothra trailer].

The cue used in 'Something to Tide You Over' is PG-190A, also titled "Dramatic Eerie." In the Hi-Q library, there is a full reel of soprano and tympani variations credited to Phil Green which also includes a cue used in the 'Tales from the Darkside' series.

43:08 - George Hormel : Weird Eerie (ZR-87C)
A portion of this plays after Harry is buried, and Richard notes that he could "Cover him all the way up".

It's not actually ZR-87C, but again a variation from a Hi-Q reel that contains more than a dozen "Weird Eerie" suspense cues by George Hormel.

iTunes is "an illegal sharing site" now?

Yes, iTunes is distributing copyrighted material without a license. The sooner customers quit apologizing for Apple and admit it, the sooner these illegal practices will stop.

One of the $19.95 titles in the SAE banner pictured at the top of this page is currently listed on iTunes, complete for $5.99. Do you suppose the current SOPA legislation before Congress is designed to protect the small labels that are being ripped off or the corporate monoliths that steal without consequence?
