Intrada released the LP score on CD back in 1995. Seeing how there was 2 hours of score doesn't this merit consideration for a complete release?

The master tapes are definitely lost!

If they are really lost ...then Tadlow would be up for a complete re-record as I have always liked that particular score

Maybe some one could ask either Doug at Intrada or Bruce at Kritzerland if they know of any tapes ... as one of them is sure to know if any tapes still exist?

Yes, INTRADA did Release the Original Album back in 1995 with no new music at that time. Doug most likely would have loved to have released an expanded back then if possible, I would think.

The bottom picture of Goldsmith conducting was used on initial copies of the original L.P., which had a different version of "Jadwiga Relived". It's very hard to find.

No ...meaning that either or both of these might have in the past searched for these tapes because of theior associations with MCA/ABC records and could therefore confirm if any were found or not?

I heard on the grapevine that the tapes are nowhere to be found. I would love an expanded release of this spectacular score - preferably another stunning re-recording from maestro Fitzpatrick, who has already made an inestimable contribution to the preservation of the best that film music has to offer.

Please, James, do it. Your re-recordings are magnificent.

The back of the 1974 LP Album:

It's actually the SECOND one. Invert the image on a scanner and you'll have the was that featured on the initial copies of the album,

The black lettering on white background version was one of the albums I had Goldsmith sign the one time I met him. He seemed surprised by it and commented on how unusual it was, so I got the impression this version was rarer than the white lettering on black background one.

Hmm...since Quartet is coming out with the expanded edition of Bacharach's "Casino Royale" next week, I wonder if there's a possibility that they might tackle Goldsmith's "Q.B.VII"?

James, I don't know about Bruce Kimmel, but Intrada has already said they haven't been able to find tapes on it. Of course, last time they said that was a couple years ago and obviously they used to say the same for The Wind and the Lion yet by some miracle (or multiple ones) that still came out. Still, I think a complete QB VII would make a better Tadlow project than almost any other Goldsmith score!

However, "Jadwiga Relived" is much different from the one on the original album.
