I went to it, the second it was introduced. I love it. The only change Facebook ever made, I like.

Another thing is that people also seem to dislike the idea of chance, whether it's good or bad. Often, after an update, they get used to it and lament it when the update they previously opposed to is being changed.

I don't understand why people complain about something that is free and they don't have to use. It isn't quite as easy as that. Facebook (and other social media) have become an integral part of our social life. Yours. My social life hasn't changed. It's just as lame as before. :-) For me, it's been a gateway to jobs, dates and events that I would otherwise not have had access to. So it's an ESSENTIAL part of my life. I think that just because something is free, doesn't mean one can't point out things one finds lacking. Interesting how people use it differently. Me, I use it for laffs or to just see what people are up to. Or to promote whatever play I'm in. But generally, I could delete the whole thing and not really see my life change in any big way. It's fun for me, but far from essential. My brother in law wouldn't go near it if you paid him.

I'm avoiding the Timeline untill I'm forced to implement it. It seems totally ridiculous. Agreed.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-05-03/zuckerberg-s-facebook-ipo-will-make-him-richer-than-ballmer.html I noticed someone in the comments section mentioning this Timeline thing so I posted this, but really, I have no idea what it is. I have started using Facebook a LITTLE this past week, and it's only because I'm in a situation where I am spending a few hours with little to do. If history tells us anything it's that once I start using a technological thingee its demise is imminent. I didn't think of this until I read the comments to this article, and saw the money involved in FB. I mean, something valued at that amount has to have more to it than this, and it will only take the next Facebook to sink this thing in a few months, I would imagine. But who knows, and I don't care enough to invest that much thought in it. In a month I'll be back to not using it no doubt. P.S. I'm not hung up on "Facebook is evil" or anything (though I think the Zuckerberg guy is full of shit), if people want to use it and enjoy it, God bless, if the guy makes zillions, ditto. I get pissed about some things in this world, but this is just...a bit befuddling. I don't see why it's such a big deal to people. It's kinda boring, and definitely a waste of time--nothing of substance, just trivia.
