i would like to know if there are any places that manufacture and sell t-shirts of all the major film composers, and for that matter, many classical music composers. it would be nice if certain stores sell these shirts so people could identify with their favourite composer or composers.

Not really. Some came and went quickly.

But here is one combo shirt I bought awhile back and am surprised they are still around:

Coolness! I need one of those.

I must confess I can't quite recognize everyone there embarrassment (though I think I have an excuse in not being able to make out all of them very well from the thumbnails). Who are all the composers represented?

I recognize

Ennio Morricone
Henry Mancini
Lalo Schifrin
John Williams
Jerry Goldsmith
Max Steiner
Bernard Herrmann

I am not sure, but the others could be

John Barry
Miklos Rozsa

And two more that I cannot see. May be Korngold and Tiomkin?

They forgot to Elmer Bernstein frown

Wow. This is great. Have to think about those $15.99 for International Shipping though.

Here's a link with all composers on that shirt:

There's a little bit of self-irony in that T-shirt, I admit (the double entendre of 'score' and the fact that film score nerds don't often get to score in the other sense of the word), but in recent years I've become rather weary towards wearing 'fan' T-shirts of any kind. I think the exception would have to be one of those Oingo Boingo T-shirts, whose motives are abstract enough in themselves. Like this:

I guess they have a modicum of film music relevance, as Danny Elfman was the lead guy.

Or this one, which is much better:

Or....when it's just a character from a film without the name of the film itself. Like this one, which I like to wear these days:

Here's a link to Zazzle.com - they sell all kinds of stuff - and amongst them are multiple composers with t-shirts -

http://www.zazzle.com/john+williams+gifts

This shows some of the t-shirts I proudly wear of Williams notes for compositions like Jaws and Raiders of the lost Ark.

If you search the site you can find some Goldsmith and Silvestri items as well -

(yikes - not sure how to make that a clickable link)

Joel Goldsmith sold through his official site T-Shirts with the FreeClyde logo and yes I do own two of them, one that I wear from time to time and the second one is actually signed by him personally to me.

I've considered getting WORLD'S WORST T-SHIRT LOGO printed on the front of a shirt in a vague tribute to Michael Giacchino. wink
