Visited the blu-ray recently and fell in love with HR's rousing score. It's a real gem. According to soundtrackcollector, there was a British CD released in 2000, but I'm not sure if it was a quality release, how available it is, etc. Is it still around anywhere?

According to soundtrackcollector, there was a British CD released in 2000, but I'm not sure if it was a quality release, how available it is, etc. Is it still around anywhere? It was on GDI records. I have it and I love it. Unfortunately I think all GDI CDs are unavailable now. The sound quality of those old Hammer film scores is not stellar and this one may be mono like most of the others, but it certainly doesn't sound bad either. (It sounds better than a lot of the Hammer film scores that got released.) I hope you have luck getting a copy. Cheers

Always loved that score ever since i first saw the film years ago on a double feature with HANDS OF THE RIPPER-72- which had another great score by CHRISTOPHER GUNNING.

I think the problem with a lot of the Hammer scores is missing elements. Familiar story, eh? I did have a conversation with John Mansell (an expert on these recordings) about HANDS, but I cannot remember whether he told me this one of the ones that has missing elements or not. Oh, my memory! Cheers

I'd love the Hammer scores to come out faster than one a year. So, if anyone's listening, if you wanna tie in with Halloween each year, how about two a year? :-) Cheers

But I'll still cross my fingers and hope that Buysoundtrax releases it and DR. JEKYLL AND SISTER HYDE one day. Oh please, yes. James Bernard is the king of Hammer music, yes, but there were some absolutely wonderful latter-day Hammer scores from people like Chris Gunning, David Whitaker and Harry Robinson. Cheers
