How that stinker by Adele is so revered, is an absolute mystery to me. That whiny wailing is enough to makes me want to punch her in the throat.

"Punch her in the throat"? Still single, I'll bet. Either that, or every woman you've ever dated has a lifetime restraining order on you.

I like many Bond songs--minus Quantum of Solace, a film I otherwise enjoy--but I have the nagging suspicion Bond theme songs are intentionally awful.

I'll take "Skyfall" the song over "Goldfinger" the song any day, but not the Craig era over Connery era.

Casting my vote for Madonna's "Die Another Day", as pretty much every other Bond title song I enjoy, just to varying degrees.

I've often wondered two things when it comes to Bond songs: Are they bad on purpose, or are they just a genre and style unto themselves which one must be in a particular frame of mind in order to enjoy?

What a strange question (statement)! Not all of them can be top class but it must be acknowledged that the majority of them do what they're required to do ... attract the audience to the movie. It's wrong to compare a film song, especially a title song which is written to incorporate either or both the film's title or story-line, with a general pop song.

The fact that many film songs rank highly with the buying public against commercially released pop music is evidence that they're not all bad ... just perhaps, not to your liking.

The song from Quantum. God awful.

Honorable mention: Die Another Day (only slightly redeemed by some Arnold orchestration.)
