I am not really sure; the hair color seems wrong, but I think she is from Sweden.

It's a classic pose and look I associate with Sophia Loren, but I know it's not her.

still living, I believe that she was once married to Jeffrey Hunter -

Many great credits -- I remember when she stayed awhile in Peyton Place just before it ended.

Hmmmm...... I've looked at this photo over and over and would never make
the guess that you have made. It just doesn't look like her to me.

Interesting, too, because I once photographed the lady in your guess.

Actually she was born in New York...

When I said she was connected to a former question by our friend Chickenhearted I was referring to a TV serie that has same title as a movie title (very) recently guessed.

Are you sure ? Her only official husband is supposedly Thomas Tennenbaum she married in 1956 till his death in 2001. And I can't find her credited in any episode of Peyton Place...

Is the word "Rush" on your second post a hint about the lady's name ? Are you referring to B.R. ?

You're a mind reader Chickenhearted : it's because of that movie I recognized her !

It was not the actress I was thinking of. The second picture cleared that up. She does resemble Barbara Rush . Again good work Manderley and Angelillo. You got there before the rest of us.

It's a cinch she's not Claire Trevor or Anna Kashfi.

I guess that leaves just one actress in "The Mountain" (of the first three listed in the film's credits) that she could be.

Well....actually I didn't recognize her, I simply felt it wasn't BR.

But chickenhearted's THE MOUNTAIN clue helps a lot.

Is this by any chance a woman who might be found lolling about with royalty in outer space? smile

I just confirmed my suspicions and discovered that I've seen her in 7 of her 9 feature films. The still photos of her indicate a very beautiful woman, but I don't remember much about her at all from her theatrical features. Perhaps her wide TV career was where she was most showcased. It appears she will be 82 in November of this year. I hope she has had a happy life.
