The tail end of a scorcher, which happens 1 week in September every year. On Monday it was 111 at about 5 p.m.

Hotter than Living Crap and we all know how hot Living Crap is.

Didn't we once, in the old days, have something called an Ozone Layer?

I think the Ozone went by the wayside the same time the Two for Two Dollars BIG MAC Special went away.

Lord have Mercy.

Thank god that summer is past, my favourite season is autumn. It's sunny but cool in the London suburbs after a rainy night, & maybe a bit of rain this afternoon.

I left a sunny Liverpool this afternoon (that sun was packin' heat) to arrive at a pissing down/much cooler temp Bicester for an overnight stay before sailing out of Southampton tomorrow (to visit many a Scandinavia).

I do wonder how our Florida friends, like Howard, have managed during the hurricane recently. I've seen no threads or posts about it here, nor any posts from said individuals. Does anyone know?

Howard did post a storm warning weather update on the other side of the board last week.
He scarpered for a day or two but came back safe to find his home and belongings still intact.

Just gone really windy! And raining a bit.

Yup, about the same in London, but it was only windy for a couple of hours & it wasn't that bad. A dull old day, so I didn't go out (it's great being retired, you just do what you like). I see there's a few nice days coming up, Saturday sunny all day & not too hot (16) perfect for me. I haven't turned my central heating on yet.

It didn't stay windy for long, a matter of minutes. Now it's back to lashing it down. It's nice being in, some music on. And Morry trying to distract me, hopping about.

A really nice day in London, downright warm in the afternoon, t-shirt weather, & the next three days are looking nice, all a bit odd for a week into October.
