I missed this post, DiB, to my shame. And now have no idea what it means smile

I dip chips in mayo.
Prefer it to ketchup.

Both are disgusting.

Tomatoes and cheddar combine into something wonderful.

Can’t stand uncooked tomatoes, except in Italy, where they taste very different. I once scandalised an elderly, churchgoing female relative of Mrs TG by describing them as “Satan’s testicles” without realising she’d come into the room behind me.

I tried my first Horseradish Cheddar. The package shouted "A Favorite in England!" on its front.

Yeek, but that was strong stuff. I think it said "Robust" or some-such on the cover, too, so maybe I got fair warning.

I'm usually a devotee of Swiss cheeses like Madrigal and Jarlsberg, but I've become a fiend lately for Trader Joe's "Creamy Toscano, soaked in Syrah." Maybe it's the black peppers.

That quantity in your fridge should keep you for a while. At least. smile

Heh. Full disclosure: I swiped that pic from Yahoo Images.

One type of cheese that I DO NOT LIKE is the kind in which pieces of fruit or other foreign objects are placed within the cheese. No sir, I like my cheese and other foods segregated!

All the supermarkets in the UK sell their own version of French mild & creamy Brie, & all very cheap, & that's the stuff I like. The more expensive Brie like Brie De Meaux, I don't like at all. A bit of mild & creamy, some breadsticks & a glass of wine & I'm sorted.

There is nothing like a Vermont Extra Sharp Cheddar purchased from a local farm market. It'd divine.

I'm imagining the chemicals in cheese labeled "spreadable." Eek.

Does "Colby Jack" count? Or, is that technically *two* cheeses?

Anyway, I love it these days.

Aren't they the best part? Anyway my dad's tuned 83, so he's not worried about any long term damagesmile

Red Leicester. Something of a rarity where I live in the US.

I tried some horseradish Havarti recently. It wasn't as strong.
