Ok, I've started working on IDing all of the tracked (and original) music in the Star Trek episode Balance of Terror. This is very much a work in progress. I'm not going to have time to sit down with an audio editor to get very precise until after the new year. Anyone who wants to help out is more than welcome. I'm working from the Season 1 set of the DVDs, btw. So if anyone wants to chime in with any laser disc info (if there is any) that would be shiny. 00:00 Theme from STAR TREK pt 1(?) (replaces The Enterprise) 00:11 In the Chapel 01:57 "All decks, condition red" The Last Crystal Titles 03:00 Mullendore Enterprise theme 03:16 Steiner Enterprise theme 06:50 "Their war" - Conscience of the King - Kirk and Lenore / He's Dead 07:27 "Pulverized" - string sting (Man Trap? This is strictly from memory, I just want to put in a correction or two: 11:18 Where No Man Has Gone Before? Big boom - Final fight or barrier? Nope, this is from The Cage. Part of it is "Wrong Think." 21:36 "Cast Rodinium..." Big sting - Man trap? Naked Time. The end of Joe Berserk Library Cue. 24:43 "All hands, battle stations." The Man Trap? Naked Time again, Joe Berserk episode cue. Dude, couldn't you start with an easier episode? ;-)

Well, I'm going with my favorites. Next up for me is The Ultimate Computer. At the moment I'm doing this on the road with a phone and an iPod. A bit of a pain. I figure there are fans out there that will say "Oh, that's X, I know because it's totally my favorite cue!" I was kind of proud of myself for finding Primitive Thoughts and He's Dead. So far for a Steiner score there's very little tracked Steiner.

All correct. Well done. What is different about the alternate Joe Berserk? It trails off instead of having a button. When Spock crushes the shield material, the cue trails. :-) Easier episode? Well, I'm going with my favorites. Next up for me is The Ultimate Computer. I'll probably start with Corbomite Maneuver. I was kind of proud of myself for finding Primitive Thoughts and He's Dead. Quite right, so you should.

Just posted the latest act. Fifteen minutes left. Other than figuring out which Romulan cue is which the only bits that I'm clueless about in this batch is when there's a low sting when Kirk says "Let's get him, Mr. Sulu." Oh, and there's a bit after "Escape maneuver one!" that I'll have to search out as well.

30:20 "Impact!" Mudd's Women? Where No Man Has Gone Before. "Decision" I'm trying to get Corbomite Maneuver together.

30:20 "Impact!" Mudd's Women? Where No Man Has Gone Before. "Decision" That might be the beginning of the edit but it then plays out with Mudd music. It might be Mudd's Perfidy. I'll need to sit down with an editor where I can A/B. Switching between tracks on an iPod isn't keeping it in my head long enough. Thanks for the help, though. Greatly appreciated.

Switching between tracks on an iPod isn't keeping it in my head long enough. Mudd's Plan / Mudd's Perfidy - yup, that's it. Thanks for the help, though. Greatly appreciated. Happy to be of help if I'm correct. This is a fun project. Once I've made up TCM, I'll post the cues.
