As a tribute to the great posts by Recordman in which he shared so many wonderful and obscure soundtrack LP covers, we are starting a series of posts on an often overlooked aspect of film music collecting, sheet music.

We start this series with sheet music of composer JERRY GOLDSMITH.

We would appreciate any additions to sheet music by Goldsmith not included in this post.

Interesting. I have most (if not all - I haven't really checked) of these sheets, but not the full color originals. Most of mine are copies that were sent by a friend or were xeroxed out of books at my library.

Still, I do think I have one NOT on your list. And the composer's name is listed as JERRALD K. GOLDSMITH. That is his Tocatta for solo guitar, published by Brazlience Music Co. It is not even in color, just a large tri-fold sheet. It is likely no longer even available, but I ordered my copy years ago from the publisher. I'm not a guitarist, but it a "C" instrument, and so it is playable on any keyboard instrument as well.

The one I've never seen is "THE MEPHISTO WALTZ". Didn't even know that existed.

That is fantastic. I want to see inside many of them. I want to get the chords for As We Follow the Sun and Your Zowie Face and other songs so I can play them on my ukulele.

Sigh.

Envy is coursing through my veins.

One of my ambitions for retirement is to play piano, and to play film music. I look forward especially to a couple you have up there (Chinatown, Russia House) as they seem harmonically very interesting and would sound good even with tempo changes.

Thanks for making my day!

Silly question... why do you speak of yourself as "we"? Are you in some kind of music sheet borg collective or something?

Jokes aside, nice collection
