Now that I have your attention.

All of you feller computer afficiandos out there - I need some input.

My system died and I'm in the process of putting together a system. I have an Intel Motherboard on the way with the i845E chipset. The board is Intel's 845EBG2.

My question is in the realm of DDR memory. Should I go with PC2100 or PC2700. What are the limitations? Can I even use PC2700 DDR? Should I use it?

Now that I have YOUR attention, I'd like to know how soon do you need this info? I have a friend in the business who may be able to help, but I will need to e:mail him your questions.

I should be able to get you an answer by Tuesday or Wednesday. If you need it sooner, send me you phone number and I'll ask him to call you.

I thought this was going to be a Ford Thaxton bashing thread. big grin
ok will this make you happy

mr. thaxton is a very very bad man.
mr. thaxton cannot name all the stars on the tv show "have gun will travel"
or "wanted dead or alive"
did you know that mr.thaxton does not have a star name after him. thats what it said in globe. right next the story of how dogbelle found his food dish on a space ship.?????

Just for te record, I like Mr. Thaxton. Someone once said (and it wasnt me), "It is from ridicule that we gain admiration.."

Anyway, SIS, thanks for the info. I am a computer expert, but always like to get other opinions of those out there.

Good info. I need to wait on the memory because my new computer is not ready yet and I am now jobless. So, I must wait.
