Huh. Is there really no thread for this score?

Of all the 90's era Silvestri action scores, this and BLOWN AWAY (also unreleased, sadly) are probably my favorites. It's a full-throated orchestral smash up with some wonderfully evocative emotional passages for the Geena Davis and her struggle with her identity. This being a Renny Harlin joint, much of the score's virtues are buried in the film mix, but when you get it away from the din of bullets it reveals itself as a typically powerful effort from Silvestri at a time when he was knocking these things out of the park left and right.

The main title cue was released on the soundtrack album but that's not enough. I have to think one of the labels would be trying to make a full release happen (certainly it would sell if the licensing can get worked out). Until then here's a taste:

This has been discussed before. I'm sure La-la have mentioned they were interested but nothing has happened so far. Love all the orchestral finale action stuff. But the first part of the score is tedious. Ironically a 30 mins album back in the 90s would have been enough.

So we've got BLOWN AWAY in the meantime... is LONG KISS GOODNIGHT ever happening?
What is holding this one? New Line? Or complications with licensing caused by the song album?

This is one of Silvestri’s greatest action scores.

I hope that maybe this year we will be lucky...
