I was just wondering what anyone's thoughts were on the recent Jackie Mason debacle where he refused to have a new comedian of Palestinian heritage open for him because he was of Palestinian heritage.

I mean. This is ridiculous now. I understand with the tragic events that happened and the one year since 9/11 that there may be some angered sentiment out there, but haven't we learned a godamned thing yet? I have read in the NY Times that this new comedian in question fought in Viet Nam for this country and has been trying to make it big in comedy for the past couple of years.

I like Jackie Mason, but for him to come out and say that about a guy who appears to be as far removed from the Middle East situation as SCORES STRIPPERS are to downtown Tehran, is just wrong.

Hey, like it or not folks, I am half Syrian and I still go into my favorite delicatessan (Kaplan's) in NYC and enjoy a nice big fat and hot Corned-beef on rye with mustard. That coupled with the fact that I'm also part Polish/German/Jewish makes me even more befuddled (and clueless). Nevertheless, I am first and formost an American! and I shall live and die an American. If I were a Frenchman, (in all likelihood) I would live and die as a Frenchman (and so forth).

The point is, if we are going to live here as Americans, we should do our best to support our fellow Americans - at least those who don't try to anthrax us, kidnap our children, rape our cattle, and spread E-Coli in our Jack-In-The-Boxes.

The previous message does not reflect those of any relevance.

Maybe something has happened since I saw a little blurb on this the other day, but I saw that Mason released a statement saying there was no truth to him firing a Palestinian comedian.

Yeah. i've been reading conflicting stories to the same effect. One article would quote Mason as to saying that he did not care for a Palestinian opening up for him, to another article where his agent denies it.

The bottom line:

The media blows sometimes!

I heard that comedian on a radio talk show this morning. He said it was true and Jackie Mason refused to back down. This comedian is getting other offers.... He is married to a Jewish woman, so I don't know what problem Jackie Mason had with him.

This incident should make him a star!!

Personally, I'd like to hear what he has to say!

Jackie Mason has a problem with anyone not named Jackie Mason.

While we are on the subject....Of smelly..
Does the "Baath" party use Coast or Safeguard soap?? Or just spray over their stink with cheap after shave?? Humm.. If Bin Laden truly IS dead, was it his illness, the bombing, or his crusty balls that finally did him in??

With any luck, all of the above...

As crank yankers would say, "YEAHHHHHHHHHHH".

The more behind bars, the merrier. If terrorists want to screw around with us, especially this country, I'm in favor of any and all measures it takes to get them off our streets.

The problem is, you squish one rat, especially in a big city, there are hundreds more to take his place..At this point, we are only cutting off the tails..That doesn't stop the rat's appetite..This fight will go on long after you and I , and the rats roaming the streets today are all dead...
