After June 24 we will be back on the schedule we set at the beginning of the year. JULY 15 will be the next release date. We are skipping July 1 due to the Holiday on July 4th

MV

Does that mean what would have been then will be added to in additional what is planned later in July? Any idea how many titles?

Most likely just 4 titles in July

July 15
July 29

As I said in an earlier thread, I'd have to see how much more music there is, but the expansion of THE ADDAMS FAMILY has me intrigued. Delightful score.

I am so happy that we'll be getting an expanded Empire of the Sun. It is a beautiful score.

MV, Any chances of getting John Williams to sign off EMPIRE OF THE SUN booklets this time?

Thanks for replying, MV! I wonder if the above quote means that Ladyhawke was always planned for release in the second half of 2014 - I figured it would be scheduled for the first half of the year, but I guess I was wrong.

As were we. smile

This is why I don't like to give out release dates in advance.

So, until you actually see cover art posted by us on anything just accept the fact a title we may have discussed coming out will come out within the next 1 to 10 years.

Only slight disappointment is Altered States, because it sounds like it could have been expanded were it not for the composer's wishes. Disappointing because they didn't have to mess with the album program; just present it first and the rest of the score as bonus tracks afterwards, as Lukas did a number of times for FSM releases...
Yavar

So we should just ignore the composer's wishes and do what posters like you want instead?

Is that what you want?

Is the composer by chance buying his own copy(s)? I would think the interest should be to sell copies and if you aren't offering anything to entice potential buyers instead of doing what the composer wants you just may have a stinky seller, but I guess you have a happy composer...

Doing that is just not going to win you any friends and make it very hard to work with that artist again in the future.

He wrote it and perhaps you should respect their wishes.

Altered States - $15.99

Reissues of existing albums with no extras should never be more than $12.99.

According to whom exactly?

You?

You based this on what exactly?

Do you know the terms of the deal they struck in order to reissue this title?

If the answer is no, why are you offering an UNINFORMED OPINION on the topic in the first place?

I don't recall you bitching when INTRADA reissued IN HARM'S WAY at $19.99 do you?

Some labels are easier then others on terms.

I'm very happy to have a remastered edition of this classic score.

Now I can complete the Corigliano filmography*!

*If you don't count his thrownout score for Edge Of Darkness.

What? Edge of Darkness was released by Perseverance, although with defects in the mastering.
So nothing stops you to have all Corigliano's film scores.

Calm down Ford he's entitled to voice his opinion. Personally I'm glad its less than the usual $19.99 and look forward to having a copy at last. The guy thinks it should be a little cheaper, that is all. An informed argument as to him being unrealistic (rights costs, remastering and pressing/packaging costs) would be a more courteous response.

An uninformed opinion pulled from one's backside isn't really worth a whole lot IMHO...
