It certainly won't stop me from contributing but it sucks that Indiegogo won't allow Paypal for payments anymore. I'm sure you'd get an extra bump if it were an option. Wow, that does suck...sorry for the inconvenience... Lukas

Wow, that does suck...sorry for the inconvenience... Lukas I hope it didn't come off like whining because it's not an inconvenience for me; just a general frustration to share! It TOTALLY came off as whining. Sad!

Dear Lukas, Thank you for creating FSM so many years ago and providing me with plenty of good memories. I have been a subscriber since 1994 and a lot of what I cherish and know about film music is due to your hard work over the decades. I miss reading the reviews you and Jeff Bond wrote, in the 90's, when you got to be candid about the latest releases. That kind of frank criticism is sorely missed. Maybe James Southall is the only man who keeps writing like that nowadays. I have the utmost respect for your business and creative projects and have always been a supporter. I just contributed $99. Good luck with your movie. May it be the first of many. Who knows, maybe you will get to direct a James Bond movie someday and even ask Ron Jones to score it. It would definitely be better than the bland, themeless Thomas Newman efforts of late. One is allowed to dream, right? Best, Daniel

Nearly 3g's in about 6 hours? Not bad LK- I'm digging watching the progress. Since we're all explaining gags, that permit business was just for our more....errr, over-technical over-zealous players.... I would still appreciate some snow up north, a perk not listed, ya feel me? ;-)

Thank you all for your support and very kind notices. Yes, around $3K in the first 7 hours is encouraging but evidently these campaigns all tend to start strong and then flatline. I am planning more updates and content and continuing the outreach—thank you! Lukas

Yes, I am lucky to have some Jerry Fielding photographs framed in my office. Years ago Nick Redman took me to Camille Fielding's house and there was a roll of pristine negatives and we got some prints made. Lukas

The most crucial time for Indiegogo are the first two days and the final week. Updates are great, but people sharing is the best. The thing about PayPal is disturbing and must be very recent. But so far so good - 17% in less than twenty-four hours is very good indeed. If it gets past 20% by tomorrow, it will most likely reach its goal.

Thanks Bruce, and thanks for your very helpful advice. Hey everybody—Bruce was very nice to me when I was planning the campaign, no lie! It has been a very exciting first day and I am so thankful to the people who donated, and also those who shared links and talked it up on social media. Incidentally, everybody here is welcome to friend me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lukas.kendall And also follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LukasKendall It has been a very interesting experience dealing with the emotions of putting yourself out there, risking failure and exposing your hopes and dreams. I'll write more about that after I process it some more! Thanks everybody for making day one so productive! Lukas

Lukas, I put in really for one reason - that you agreed all those years ago to include a little nod to Greg Twyman (Gumdrops1), late of this parish, in the booklet to “Eye of the Devil”, a score he would have absolutely loved. What goes around... TG That was very cool. I like that LK has been more active on the boards recently, too, and not just threads about his hopes and dreams!
