I'm downloading the ultimate compilation from iTunes right now! Can't wait to hear it shortly...hopefully it will satisfy me until 2012...

Deputy - Let me know if the compilation includes any material from Jason Lives. That has some of my favorite music of the series, especially the string passages as the Sheriff is wandering around through the camp.

Ah, this must be the boxset M.V. hinted at on his Facebook page. smile

Considering all the marketing/advertising opportunities on the web, there's no reason this set shouldn't be an instant success.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives cues from the Ultimate Compilation:

9. Dies Irae
10. Watery Grave

I'm not sure, but if we're talking about the same thing, I think the part where Sheriff Garriss is wandering through the camp is at the beginning of "Watery Grave".

Not one for me this time, but what a frackin' release!! Just because I'm not keen on this one, doesn't mean I don't appreciate the work that goes in to something like this...

A real coup MV - amazing stuff.

Wow. Just amazing. Will be getting this for sure. The theme from Part 3 is one of the coolest themes ever.

And for anyone who is wondering, Manfredini's music was heard in part 7 as well, but it was used from previous films (I believe) along with new music from Fred Mollin (sometimes mixed together).

Anyone know which film each of the tracks on the itunes release is from?

This is my guess:
Welcome To Crystal Lake (Part I)
Mrs. Vorhees Loses Her Head (Part I)
Safe, In A Boat (Part I)
We Meet At Chez Jason (Part II)
Opening Titles - F13 Part III (Part III)
Final Scenes (Part III)
Slashing, Shaving, & Slicing (Part IV)
The Rampage Continues (Part V)
Dies Irae (Part VI)
A watery Grave (Part VI)
Sail Away Tiny Sparrow (Part I)

Is that correct?

You LLL guys now owe me the medical costs of repairing my jaw, which has just dislocated.

I mean, I'm not even a big fan of the franchise but I HAVE TO HAVE THIS. Damn the overseas postage cost...the disco titles to part 3 in my CD player...on my iPod...YES. YES. YES.

I just downloaded the "Ultimate Compilation," and alas the cue I was asking about didn't make it. Still, the rest of it sounds fantastic. Can't wait to don my headphones later tonight and give it a listen. smile

I couldn't find a clip with the music I was talking about, but it's actually very similar to 1:34 - 1:44 in this track from Goldsmith's The Shadow, only it's a little slower in Jason Lives. I believe it's heard a couple times as Garris and his deputies search the camp, and is even used again in The New Blood. I'm sure it will make the LLL box set, though.

I can't wait for this box. I'm more a fan of the first score, but the other five also have their moments.

I've downloaded the compilation from ITunes but I'm having a problem with tracks 2 and 3 - they are stoping in middle and then the ITunes moves to the next track before finishing them. Are any of you who downloaded it having the same problem?

I just gave them a try, and both played fine all the way through.
