This is one thread I like to keep going as long as I am on this board because I bet a lot of people didn't realize how much nice music are in genre films. So far nearly 400 genre films and hundreds more pieces of music has been mention here. I have not even scratch the surface of the so many genre films made from 1980 till present. Plus much more from 1930 till 1980.Again selections are welcome.
DRACULA DEAD AND LOVING IT-96-HUMMIE MANN- Beautiful romantic main theme.
It's a pity that Mann isn't talked more about. He did fine work on Mel Brooks' latter two movies. DRACULA - DaLI is a terrific score. The ascending melody at 1:11 into the main titles is a very lovely composition.
Another score I want to mention, as it hasn't been mentioned and I'm listening to it, now: John Barry's STARCRASH. Powerful main theme, but with several moments of beauty, courtesy of Barry's peerless string writing.
