I'm really looking forward to this, I'm a big Horner fan!

I'm really excited about this. Never bought a video of a concert before (although have watched similar classical concerts on TV) so will be great to watch and enjoy it on my big TV and sound system at home.

I went to the live performance of Titanic at the Royal Albert Hall where he and James Cameron gave a resprospective about scoring that film and enjoyed it immensly. Sadly that was only a few months before his death.

Can anyone confirm if all the editions of this blu-ray are region free? On Amazon.com it says that 'Blu-ray is Region Free and will play in any country', but I'm not going to buy from them.

I can't find where it was posted but Varese confirmed very early on that all discs are region free

What are the audio specs? 5.1? DTS-HD MA? TrueHD? PCM? 96khz?

Did I miss the audio specs somewhere? I see the old DTS on the back cover in the trailer, so I'm assuming DTS-HD MA?

Would have loved to buy this on CD. Or does the Blu-Ray come with an audio-only track? Don't see myself watching a concert very often, but would love to listen to it.

Any James Horner fan needs to own this, no question. Those looking for a CD instead of the Blu-Ray are truly missing out. The concert movements are unabashedly gorgeous, the music put to motion is indescribable, and seeing James Horner in tears from his own mouvements being performed is absolutely priceless. I was moved to tears several times myself, even during sequences I wasn't familiar with, and the opener to both the fanfare and James Horner's own Star Trek work had the salty tears streaming down my face. Thank you Varese, for a flawless representation of the stark genius of James Horner. Absolutely wonderful!

Love James Horner. I just ordered this. Can't wait to watch it in my theatre. Thanks Varese!

I watched the Horner part over the weekend at a friends place who has a 96X110 inch projection screen with a way expensive sound system. WONDERFUL! If you are a big Horner fan, I advise on some tissues as he was so moved by this and I couldn't help but be moved as well. The whole thing looks and sounds great. I hope we get a CD of the music at some point and no that is no CLUE to anything happening, I have NO idea sadly. David Newman did a brilliant job. Can't wait to see it again. So bittersweet.

I got my copy today at a pre-Brexit exchange rate of just £18 delivered!
Only watched a few minutes so far, but already the HD allowed me to spot things I couldn't see on the youtube version (ie. my good friend Kev and I - very faintly in the darkness of the audience!).
A superb souvenir of an incredible evening!

Can you possibly confirm the audio specs (DTS-HD, PCM, etc, etc)? Thanks.

DTS 5.1 Surround.

Thanks for the reply. Quite disappointed we aren't getting lossless surround but I'm still keen to get this.

Sorry just saw there's a PCM 2.0 option as well

This is a lovely release and likely the best thing Varese will put out this year. I only wish that there was an audio CD to go with it.

That's my only gripe as well. It's a great presentation other than that.
