I wouldn't say goodbye to that compilation just yet, though...there are a couple of good suites from other Hitchcock scores on that one that don't have a proper release yet (STRANGERS ON A TRAIN, for example). So I'd hold on to it.

Right!! the Strangers on a train Suite is FANTASTIC

Let's say goodbye to this

too many times listened that I lost any hope to see one day a PLOT release!

There is a lot of good music on that disc yet, I'm hanging on to it.

Aside here, kudos to Varese for their new website. The old one was clunky, stale, uninteresting, dated, pedestrian, somewhat bland, and incredibly unimaginative.

YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! big grin

Finally there is a Varese-Club-CD for me too! smile

Makes you think that SUGARLAND EXPRESS may not be an impossibility either.

Depends on how much longer Williams lives. According to Roger Fiegelson, Williams has made it clear that he doesn't want the score given a soundtrack release. However, not to be insensitive, once he keels over, there's probably nothing to stop it happening.

Don't be disrespectful please! frown

If John Williams does not want to release SUGARLAND EXPRESS on CD, than they should respect it and should stay away of it.

I ordered from SAE but in my excitement didn't notice it's 5$ more . Why? This is the first time this happens.

nOT THE first time this happens - we do talk Varese here

it's alwas the same price plus the additional cost for SAE at 5 dollars

Other labels are kind enough to reduce price when sending supplies to SAE but varese is not

that's why we have the 5 dollar extra.

ah ok ...didn't know

I order at SAE because it's more convenient with Paypal and I like to be registered to a minimum of online stores

Just so you know, Varese has Paypal now as well.

I believe the majority of us will wait for tomorrow in order to find out the new Intrada releases and, after that, orders will rain

don't want to risk it. Poseidon Adventure was 3000 and sold out in 1 day

this is a historic release for me.

It did take 24 hours to sell out PREDATOR (that also includes stocks at SAE and MOVIEMUSIC) and given that INTRADA will reveal in less than 18 hours from now I think it's safe to wait unless there are a lot of spectaculators out there

Or else Write INTRADA and they will hold a copy for you - i have read that they do it but don't piss them off then (a worried costurmor had Roger F to hold a copyof a score to him and then he bashed Intrada at the board becaurse he believed that they had not been doing it - that was replied by roger who said "that he had promised to hold it but did now re-consider it because of the aforementioned bash).

23 hours to be precise for 3000 copies. Now we have 5000 copies (thanks Varese, very wise choise) and this gives us a bit more oxygen.

Without question, we will see the PLOT sell-out very very soon.

Why is this disrespectful ??
Jerry Goldsmith stated also that he don't want everything to be released and especially not expanded !! But (almost) every label is doing this now.

And, personally, I really hope that the tapes to some of Anton Garcia Abril's scores like the 'Blind Dead'-series are not unusable once it is possible to release them !

Anyways it doesn't matter. I'd rather secure a copy 100% now even if something else I want is released tomorrow and I have to pay another shipping

Family Plot is one of my most anticipated releases of all times by a small label

you know what?
I am going to do the order NOW as well not because I'm afraid of losing FAMILY PLOT, but because I fear of losing Karate Kid smile

Remember that Colosseum.de (Varese Europe) in Germany sells Family Plot and I wonder if they have also 5000 units in stock

I hold on to the thourght that it is 5000 unit world wide. The music usually sells out when varese is sold out - though it can take a little longer.

Is it going to take much longer from SAE? It said "pre-order"..

err I got itfrom SAE and it says "pre-order", is that very temporary?

The new releases won't be available until December 6, so that's way it says pre-order.
