Can sometime tell me if the creepy track with the haunting female 'breaths' in it that was the scene where Nancy Allen's character is posing as a patient to Michael Cain and tells her 'erotic' dream, is on this release?

I just crossed checked my old Varese VCD 47148 vs. the new Intrada for the Main Title...yes, the "ahhhsss" are still there. Perhaps just a bit less in the mix on the Intrada....but they are Not Missing!

Good to know, crogrr!

I recall hearing a female voice in the "Main Title", but it is not in the Intrada edition?? Do I have a bad memory or what?

There are female "ahhs" on the Varese Sarabande edition starting at about 1:59.

If it is in the Intrada, I don't hear the "aahhs" anyone else? I'm going to check the Blu Ray because I no longer have the Varese.

The Blu Ray has very distinct female "aahhss", just my opinion but the Intrada mix appears to drown out most of the "aahhss",my hearing can't be that bad and I played the CD on several stereo systems.

I think it's one of the missing tracks. I just listened again and didn't hear it. Here is what Roger said on the Intrada board:

"By the way, the reason the release isn't complete is there were four tracks that were no where to be found: Kate in Shower (:34), Mike Arrives (:45), The Subway (source) (4:10), and Liz in Elliot's Office (1:33). The last one is the biggest disappointment...but it is what it is."

Sorry for my late reply, but I think that was a cue that is missing.

Thanks folks. Gutted that this isn't included as this was my main reason for buying the new one. Still...no use moaning..if its lost, its lost and I'm sure Intrada did their best.
Cheers

Damn...I thought "The Erotic Story" was the scene with Nancy Allen recounting her dream to Michael Caine. That was the unreleased cue I was most hoping to hear on this reissue. frown Not Intrada's fault if it was missing, but still...a bummer.

And if you don't like my opinion about your ridiculous nitpicking then you don't have to read it either. Grow the f*ck up and be grateful for what you get.

This track was called THE EROTIC STORY on the original Varese release, and I was always disappointed that it wasn't the film version. Perhaps it was a late rescore at a different session and that's why Intrada was unable to locate it?

Odd that you talk of the need to be grateful for what we get, while lambasting Mr. Eastman. Not that I want to involve myself in your unseemly argument, but Mr. Eastman's comments led in no small part to us receiving an improved release of The Challenge from LLL, for which some of us are very grateful. If anyone appears to be showing ingratitude, calling LLL's repressing a matter of "the piddliest little thing", it is you.

I don't think it's bad that some of us are pointing out disappointment with the few lost cues. In fact, I think it's natural. I am still happy with what we got, but let's face it - the film version of "The Erotic Story" was the cue that most of us wanted on a new release. The subway disco source would have been nice too.

I am beyond thrilled that Intrada put their best foot forward, but people will complain. That's the nature of the beast.

Saying that, I can't wait to get mine!!!

Yep, thats the one! Terrific wee track. What a real shame that that's the lost track. Not to take away from Intrada's release as its great to hear the other previous unreleased stuff but that was always a standout bit of music by Pino for me.
