"The Way to Eden"! Yea, brother.

In all honesty, my excitement at finally having George Duning's "Metamorphosis" score is such that, at this point, I wish they'd re-title the boxset: "'Metamorphosis' - Also featuring 34 other scores from 'Star Trek: The Original Series.'" It is, hands down, my favorite music written for the series. I'm also very excited to have more Alexander Courage material (his contributions always seemed terribly underrated to me, and "The Man Trap" score is a real knockout!), and to have his pilot scores in better sound quality. Everything else is, as they say, gravy, and I'm looking forward to the other scores, too - but the aforementioned ones hold the most excitement for me. Gad, what an age of wonders we live in, with all of these releases floating about.

I'm very big on Duning too, and can't wait for Metamorphosis and Return to Tomorrow. 2. For which unreleased scores do you wish to get the boxset? If you mean what unreleased music are we most looking forward to, it'd be anything Duning for me.

Questions for those who seriously plan to buy the boxset. 1. For which favourite scores do you wish to get the boxset? There are a few, including getting The Cage in higher quality. 2. For which unreleased scores do you wish to get the boxset? Elaan of Troyus is my top unreleased one here, and the full score for The Corbomite Maneuver is likely to be great also. A not should also go to The Enterprise Incident, with that punchy 4-note brass statement for the Romulans. I'm also looking forward to hear the unused material that nobody has heard before that will apparently be a large percentage of the music presented.

I always assumed the Vulcan language was just pig Latin, especially "otal ojicka for "total logic"... Hey Jeff...after waiting 33 years, SOMEONE (besides me) finally makes an "Otal Ojcka" joke - at least in print! Hilarious to see that. I adore TMP, but even as a teenager, on first viewing of the Vulcan scene, I snickered to myself "couldn't they do even a little bit better than 'Otal Ojcka' by this point?" Ever since, whenever I come across a similarly lazy bit of dialogue or dialect, to me it's an "O.O." Just love that someone else, no less than the Esteemed Jeff Bond himself, is on the same page. ;-)
