Can someone tell me what the respective penalties for break & enter and theft are in whatever state Richard Kraft's office is located? I'm weighing up the pro's and con's of stealing that "Goldfinger" poster.big grin

Meanwhile, somewhere else on this planet, someone has found a strategy to stop thinking too much about boxes, UPS, import taxes, customs swamp, coming postmen...

Waitin..waitin..waitin...

I hope mine arrives in an ok condition. Quite worried after reading the posts about damage to the box and it's fragility. My signed CD arrived in a terrible state after christmas.

So is the "Music Box Suite" track only on the USB, or is it on one of the CDs?
If not, then I guess it makes the signed CD 17, a little more collectible?

Anyone in UK/Europe get theirs yet?
(Sorry for all the questions)

It is in the bonus CD 17 (the one signed by Danny Elfman.)

Anyway I still don't know if it is included in other CD or in the USB.

Cheers!

I certainly hate to be such a grouch. And I really am happy for those who are intrigued by this amazing set of recordings, BUT....having just received mine yesterday (#940), and having carefully unpacked this behemoth, I have to admit I am seriously thinking of placing it on E-Bay...........I know, pitiful thought. But frankly, other than the gorgeous book and cds (and of course, the Certificate of Authenticity, the workmanship of the piece is really kind of poor. Materials and construction are obviously China or Korea originated (I could swear I smelled the perspiration of a poor oriental "coolie's" labor when I first unsealed the rather poorly packed box)....the piece was intact even though the outer box appeared to have been roughly handled. More seriously, the USB chip is totally useless on my computer. I have no spare ports in which it will fit thanks to the oversized "skull" design of the chip. I suppose that is my fault having seen pictures of the chip prior to ordering. I was just hoping it would fit okay.

At any rate, I learned a valuable lesson. I ordered the Box on impulse, being an Elfman fanatic...Didn't really research it......that, and the totally unforgivable delayed shipment have really soured me on the thing.

Just really happy for you other guys though!!!!

I feel the same about the craftmanship of the box. The contact paper like black/white bars that I feel like I ruin it every time I pick up the set is NOT acceptable. You shouldn't have to worry about messing up the look of the box set just by picking it up or removing the lid.

I do love the set, but some aspects of it at $563.00 is a bit cheap.

I would think you could purchase something like a USB port type of extention at a Best Buy possibly to make your skull USB port work.

Well, all you guys who have already got the box are US based right?
What shape to do think it will be in by the time it has shipped to europe!
frown

As I mentioned previously, my signed CD was bent and creased badly.
I hope that Warners have improved their packaging somewhat!

Let's be realistic, apart from the book, ALL of it is a bit cheap.

The music chip should play if you apply pressure to the inside of the lid. It's not the greatest thing ever, if you're holding it at a wrong angle the sound will get all crackly and distorted. The whole thing is quite delicate, I'm glad mine mostly came in one piece.

Also, for those wondering how to use the zoetrope... DO NOT thread the images into the slots. At first I thought that's what had to be done, but since there were no instructions I decided not to mess with it. I watched the unboxing video and it showed the woman doing it.

Simply place one of the rolls at the bottom and spin. Look through the slots and voila!

Awesome, thanks!

Are you saying that the other things are connected and the wires of those get in the way? Can't you unplug whatever's connected temporarily? Or you could probably get a splitter/extender...

You took the words out of my mouth. I have to just stop being in bias denial. The book is top notch, along with the USB (which still should have contained the MP3's at 320kbps)

The retail should have been 299.99 but I am aware a lot of money was spent on licensing from other studios etc. I know it wasn't easy but the more I look at my set the more I am afraid to show it to my friends. I am sure they will flat out dis the quality of it.

Is someone out there working on High Res Cover art Scans? And also anyone sequencing the tracks in film order?

I have them, but I am having problems posting them on here.
Links to photobucket came up instead of the covers? How do you post images here? Sorry I'm new.
