The Tales From The Crypt TV series did feature an impressive roster of talent. Unfortunately, the music budget must have been pretty low, unlike Amazing Stories, so most of the scores come out very sound-alike. I've never been able to get through the old Big Screen/Giant CD because, despite the efforts of Horner, David Newman and Cliff Eidelman, they all feature that drony, limited synth sound. The opening titles by Elfman are cool though. The samples would have to be amazing to make me consider listening to 8 discs worth.

Yeah, 3000 copies of 8 discs for $120 and people think Tales from the Crypt is more likely than Erich Korngold's complete surviving works? No offense to TftC, but I don't see LLL doing more than a 4 disc set especially at that quantity...why would Crypt need that treatment when other quality TV stuff like Batman: TAS, Space: Above and Beyond, X-Files, and Star Trek (aside from TOS which had complicated rights licensing) hasn't?
