Les Baxter is cool, Mark! I've been enjoying the BORA! BORA! soundtrack I got from Basil Wrathbone in San Francisco last year. Exotica for the win!

I really like Orbital. I only have their two first albums though. This CD/DVD combo looks interesting. Would love to have the music videos too though.

Great list of stuff there -- including two who I have a completist relationship to (Jarre and APP).

Nice to see JHJ back. This new album is very good, lots of good melodies and well produced. Sounds great.

Cool! Turn Back The Clock was one of the very first LPs I bought, a quarter of a century ago. Many years later I sold it, but I kind of regretted it and bought their Best Of The 80s compilation CD, which also included some nice instrumental tracks.

The new single is good:

The cover is misleading - I'm listening to Disc 2 of this set which features Stravinsky's 1940 recording with the Philharmonic-Symphony of NY (which to my ears is a superior performance).

Broadway in a Box Disc 1

24 more to go

There is additional music on this cd, that was not on the cd I bought way back when it was first released. Demos of songs that didn't make the cut.

Broadway in a Box Disc 2

23 to go

My first time listening to this cast recording. A lot of fun. Later in the set I will run into several cds I already have (Camelot, Oklahoma, West Side Story leap to mind. Some I have on LP like Company)

Broadway in a Box Disc 3

22 to go

I only know this show from the Oscar winning movie. Lots of music on this cd that was not carried over to the movie. Some songs were added to the movie. Glad I finally have a copy of this. The demo songs on the disc with Kander and Ebb performing are interesting.

Broadway in a Box Disc 4

21 to go. smile

A classic cd, which I have had for years. No difference in this disc and the prior release.
