Are there any plans to release the full score of Jerry Goldsmith's score to ST9? This has been a firm favourite for many years and after the release of ST8, it would be a delight to hear this in it's entirety.
After their unexpected comeback it makes sense for GNP to continue the series. The questions are when and which TNG score to release first: Generations or Insurrection. My guess is Generations comes first, Insurrection after that (just a feeling).
I can't wait to finally listen to the film version of The Healing Process. I've been waiting for this for more than a DECADE!
I think end up being next year at some point. If memory serves correct... MV at LLLR said something about this/ and or Star Trek in general a little while ago???

I think MV said there's going to be an embargo on merchandise not related to the new film for most of next year. LLL's DS9 set should come out before that starts.
Any hope for a re-release of Star Trek 11's complete score before the freeze? This time with the chorus added, since Varese screwed up the first time? Or is this score an exception to the freeze and could still potentially be re-released after the deadline since it's more directly associated with the modern Trek film?
I surely hope this comes before the freeze as well. I was hoping Varese would throw in Nemesis in their last batch but oh well. It looks like that will be the missing Trek film score if it doesnt come out before the freeze. Varese has no more club releases for the rest of the year. So heres hoping we get both Insurrection and Nemesis before JJ's universe blocks out normal Trek stuff for most of next year. But for now Im grateful the TOS set is due a week from now, and DS9 will be sometime in January I guess. Plenty to be happy and grateful about.
I have nothing but best wishes for INSURRECTION and NEMESIS fans, but if the LLL TOS box were to be the last deluxe ST music release we ever got, my own desires would still be fulfilled.
That said, it seems a sure bet that INS and NEM will come along.
It does not make sense to me to stop releasing previous scores because of the new movie. To me, the new movie will rekindle my interest in all things STAR TREK...
Well, at least I hope that INSURRECTION will be released in a complete and remastered version. NEMESIS... oh I don´t get that either - why did Varese not release it already? They know the audience is there for it. All the other labels keep on releasing the scores. But not Varese. Why?
I a, hoping both Insurrection and Nemesis will come out in Dec / January time to round everything out. Particularly with LLL supposedly having to get DS9 out in January or miss the window.
The missing choir in the "Deluxe Edition" for Giacchino's Star Trek doesn't 'bother me to much. As LeHah said, Varèse would have had to pay more fees for those. With it being a new film the fees were probably way to high.
As far as the rest of the score itself...well don't get me started on it.
Regarding Insurrection I'm sure it's just a matter of time. I to hope it comes out before Paramount puts a freeze on the film score releases.
For Nemesis, as far as I am concerned I'm betting Varèse will happily sit on their butts and wait to release an expanded version of that until the end of 2013.

Who says Varese doesn't have any more Club Releases this year? They've been known to release or hold back releases with no prior schedule to track a projection. It could come this year or after the freeze.
Although, if we are to read into what Varese included in the DH2 E details, we could see lots of DE's next year. Later than sooner with the freeze and all.
Got to admit that Nemesis bored me. I'd be fully content closing the book on the feature film set once Insurrection gets it's day to expand.

without getting into it...believe me. There are no more Varese club releases for 2012. And while Nemesis as a film was a bit..dull..the score was great. Again, heres hoping it comes soon. If not then we have 9 out of 11 Trek film scores plus the Ron Jones set, LLL TNG set and now the TOS set. And lest we forget the DS9 set in January. As much as it stinks that Varese would sit on Nemesis, looking at the big picture we have a heck of alot to be grateful AND happy about.
As for the DE 2009 Trek score..? Well...to be honest until it was mentioned that there were "issues" with the way it was mixed etc I didnt notice at all. Ignorance is bliss. If a little percussion and choir is missing, I can handle that for now. At least we got that particular release in record time.
