Selena Gomez on an Intrada CD? Who saw that coming?

I know! That's pretty damn to cool for me - my pop & score worlds unite!

Most exciting release of the year for me. Instant buy for as well! Edit: Why is there a Selena Gomez song on this release? Was that the "End Credits" music?>

This same question I do I do with the "End Credits" from Hoosiers and almost hit me.

Still, slightly depressing to see well-crafted orchestral music being relegated to DVD-only status, while mind-numbingly inept popcorn fodder music is "gracing" A-list productions.

" Glory days of Joel McNeely are long past... IMHO."

That is unnecessarily harsh. He is a talented composer, and he is still working.
If he does not put out 4 blockbuster titles a year like Zimmer, that does not mean his glory days are over.

A great combination of music and songs. I just love this release.

Why Tinker Bell and not Tinkerbell?

Why Tinker Bell and not Tinkerbell?

I just spelled it the way Intrada lists the CD. If you're asking why Disney spells it that way, beats me. Maybe that's the original correct way.

Mystery solved. Selena Gomez has a new album coming out. A little cross promotion from Disney I presume? (Selena contracted under Hollywood Records)

But back on topic, this is a gorgeous score and not one to dismiss because of its girly animated fable. The two scores that follow are beautifully done as well.

If there's anything this hobby has taught me, it's to never judge a score by its movie.

Why Tinker Bell and not Tinkerbell?

Because that's how J.M. Barrie spelled it and that's how it's been spelled since.

That, or it was actually written for and used in the movie (unlike most of the tunes on the OST that accompanied the film's release) and its inclusion on the album was part of the conditions for release. And let's be honest, she doesn't really need this particular cross promotion.

True. In retrospect it's cross promotion in reverse. It might sell a few more copies at Disneyland with her name on the cover.

Who cares as long it helps to sell more copies of the album. The better it sells, the more chance Disney will provide the other Tinker Bell scores for release. There's a ton of other good music on the other 3 films.

I'm not complaining.

Why does anybody feel it a mystery that a song written for and featured prominently in a movie would appear on its soundtrack release?
