Here are some that I would like to see included for volume 3. I've got a lot more but I'm trying to limit myself here.

Deep Throat – talk with Deep Throat

Talitha Cumi – the stiletto scene

Without – hunting for Gibson Praise

LOVE the entire score for "Within" & "Without" -- shame we only got two cues on Volume 1.

Don't forget about the stiletto scene from Talitha Cumi. It's a beautiful piece in my opinion! Mark's work is truly awesome. Words alone can't describe it, but I'm biased because I like his work on The X-Files.

The selected parts above from "Talitha Cumi" and "Without" are indeed amazing pieces that really deserve to be released! I would add the interrogation scene between Jeremiah Smith and Cancer Man from Talitha, the music sounds so... mystical I love it!

In the liner notes of the volume 2 they precise that they avoided choosing music from episodes heard in volume 1, and that's really understandable cause there is sooo much amazing music in this show. And I love every cue chosen.
But I think that a third volume, made for the die-hard fans that we are should include both music from episodes never heard in the two first volumes (for me this would be from "Ghost In The Machine" , "Gender Bender" and "Never Again" to name my most wanted of all) and new cues from episodes already covered. That would be just amazing.

Bu anyway, i'm sure i ll be more than happy of the content if a volume 3 is really coming next year. Thanks again for the hard work LLL!

I'm just really bummed that the stiletto scene from Talitha Cumi wasn't in volume 2. I hope that they'll have mercy on us in the next volume and cover this piece and others from episodes that were already released. Maybe they could do a bonus disc? Not sure if that's financially feasible though.

Would love to see that Deep Throat music appear on Vol 3.
It was what? the second episode? But it's the music that made me sit up and take notice.

And yes to the Talitha & Dod Kalm suggestions as well.

Damn... at this rate we will need a Vol 4 smile

I was recently watching some X-Files episodes just to hear the music... Don't know if LLL will listen to our requests, maybe we're asking for too much but who knows...

So I just (re)watched "Requiem" and was just AMAZED by the last 10 minutes of the episode. Snow's music is just BRILLIANT, and features two marvellous renditions of the main theme. I know 2 tracks from this episode have already been released, but not that one and that would make an amazing conclusion for the last CD on volume 3!!

Any love for it?

I guess I got rather unlucky with Volume 2, because virtually nothing from my long request list was included, unfortunately.

So here are my requests for Volume 3:
- the episodes and tracks are listed in order of priority/preference.
- the cues in capital letters are 'must-haves' for me personally, the ones in non-capital letters are certainly worth checking out, too, but are just slightly less of a priority I think.

I would like to encourage LLL and Mr Joffe for taking an extensive look at season 6 (and to a lesser extent season 7), where I feel Mark Snow was on top of his form.
I would also add a vote to have the rest from “The Truth and the Light” included dialogue-free - at least the tracks that had dialogue. Including the tracks especially composed for the CD?

From episodes not featured on Volumes 1 and 2:

Drive
- FINALE (5min30): climactic drive music and Mulder looking over sea
- GAS STATION SCENE (1min30)
- EPISODE MOTIF: Opening scene with Mulder & Scully in Southern Idaho (0min45)
I think it’s necessary to include this, as the pay-off of the episode theme would then be bigger in the finale. The horn ending is nice too. Or, you could also include the following cue instead:
- Episode motif: Kersh calls Scully – I think this one ends after Scully has a breakthrough idea and we go back to Mulder and Crump (2min)
- PROLOGUE (1min50)
- the 'haunting' motif, with Scully investigating the Crump residence for instance, would be nice too, but I don't know if it holds up on CD?

Field Trip
- MULDER ARRIVES IN THE FIELD (0min55) (or: Mulder in the Field/Chasing Wallace Schiff (1min30))
- Final cue: Mulder & Scully are found (1min50)

Deep Throat
- DRIVE FROM CAFÉ TO AIRBASE FENCE (piano motif) (1min) (or: Drive from Café to Fence/Car Window Blown Out 1min30). A very famous early motif for X-Files viewers.
- The exact same piano motif is also heard later on when Mulder is trespassing on the Airbase’s grounds.
- Opening Shot of Washington DC (0min30)

The Pine Bluff Variant
- SCULLY SEARCHES FOR MULDER’S BANK ROBBERY / MULDER’S EXECUTION 3min50
Everybody always asks for the prologue music, but this one actually contains the same thematic material but is way better!
- Prologue 4min20

Synchrony
- OLD MAN FOLLOWS LISA 1min40 (or: Old Man Follows Lisa / Lisa Confronts Old Man 2min20)

Darkness Falls
- Night to Day / Mulder Lets Spinney Go 2min10
- Rescue Arrives / In the Hospital Centre 1min35

Apocrypha
- Car Rental Papers / North Dakota Finale 6min50
- Melissa’s Grave 1min30
- Ending: Krycek Locked Up 1min

Monday
- “I Don’t Want to Tempt Fate” / Conversation with Pam 3min45 (esp. the short moving strings fragment with Mulder outside the bank is a highlight of the episode)
- "First Hold-Up (after main titles) / Talking with Steve/Bernard" 5min45 (This is mostly for the action music during the hold-up; I don't know if the entire track would hold up on CD?)

Trust No1
- Travelling motif in the episode – e.g. Scully following instructions

Per Manum
- Ending: Never Give Up on a Miracle (Extended Scully Theme)

Unrequited
- Prologue (3min10)

The following is music from episodes that were featured on Volumes 1 and 2.
I don't know if it's feasible for Volume 3 yet, but I'd like to add another vote to allow and further release music from previously featured episodes. Or perhaps at some point there could be an even more limited edition 'extras' CD with this music?

Triangle
- BETRAYED / TO JAMAICA / MULDER IS TAKEN TO THE BALLROOM (3min)
The cue that starts when the traitor tells the Germans about Thors Hammer; it goes on scoring the scene in which Kersh wants to go to Jamaica; and concludes with the strong climax and final statement of the 'quest' motif when Mulder is transported back; the cue ends when he's thrown into the ballroom. This final statement of this theme is the best and the most dramatic of the whole episode. This cue runs for about 3 minutes, and is truly a highlight.
- PROLOGUE
- Ballroom Sequence (Hot Liquorice)
- FINAL HOSPITAL SCENE – piano (1min)

731
- MULDER ATOP THE TRAIN 0min40 (cue directly following the main title)

Gethsemane
- FIRST TREK: Opening after main titles – 1st Trek theme statement (2min30)

Pilot
- MOSQUITO BITES 2min
- Peggy Is Dead / Fire 1min40
- Billy’s Hypnosis 1min30

Piper Maru
- PROLOGUE 4min20
- Kallenchuk Stakeout 1min15 (or: Mulder Meets Geraldine / Kallenchuk Stakeout 2min45)

EBE
- Finale: Inside the Power Plant / Chase 2min20

Grotesque
- Patterson’s Advice

Kaddish
- Mulder & Scully conversation in red car (1min15)

Redux II
- Scully's Room

This is the music from "The Truth and the Light" CD that is still unreleased:

The following tracks have SFX/dialogue on "The Truth and the Light":
- first cue/section of OST 3, "Raptus": this is the first cue in the Pilot and hence of The X-Files in general
(The other two cues in "Raptus" have been released.)
- OST 11, from Ghost in the Machine. The ending of the track (2:12-end) is from another cue, but assuming it's from this episode, it's unused. (Perhaps MV or Mr Joffe could shed any light on what this cue was written for?)
- OST 18, from The Erlenmeyer Flask. Unfortunately, the beginning and ending are not clean.
- OST 19, the finale from Oubliette: the last 25 seconds or so have dialogue

- the first part of OST 20, "Kyrie" (except the first 10 seconds, which is in fact the ending of the previous track from Oubliette): however, this was written for the CD by Charbonneau
- OST 1, also written for the CD by Charbonneau

The following are partially clean on "The Truth and the Light", but not entirely:
- OST 7, from Gender Bender
- OST 14, from 3
- OST 16, from The Calusari
- The two cues on OST 9, from Oubliette: the second cue has some SFX over the cue
- the first 30 seconds on OST 8, from Roland: this is only a part of the original cue, and doesn't have a clean opening or ending

The following can be made clean of the SFX/dialogue, at least more or less (usually not entirely), but only by editing them with the Jeff Beal suite:
OST 10, from Conduit
OST 16, from Shapes
OST 15, from Humbug
OST 5, from F. Emasculata

Note: OST 4 (which has been released in its original form by LLL) and OST 15 have an additional overlay made for the album. I don't suppose these album mixes can be made available clean, too?

I'd love an SFX free version of The Truth and the Light by itself (iincluding the bonus track).

And you know what, I know it isn't quite right, but I'd love one extra cue thrown in. Right after the cue "Kyrie", throw in John Beal's interpetation of "Jose Chung's From Outerspace" cue (from the CD The Snow Files), and you'd end the CD PERFECTLY!
But leave some dead air before the bonus cue, so the mood isn't borken and there's tiem to stop the CD if one doesn't wish to hear the bonus.

Fommes: On "The Truth and the light", the track 11 from "Ghost and the machine" is followed by the teaser of "Duane Barry"

I think there are good chances we might have music from "Duane Barry" and "Ascension" since mythology episodes had big places on the first volumes, i guess it will still be the case for the third.

Can't wait for the next volume. Keep 'em coming! smile

I would be also be tickled pink if Fox decided to have isolated scores on all episodes whenever the series makes it to Blu Ray.

THAT really would be great! I would buy, I would buy wink

But here are some more suggestions, even for an episode that was included on vol. 2, I think there is so many essential and often demanded material from that particular episode, that one should think about it twice to add some more music of it on vol. 3.
