hope one of those releases is Kamen's X-Men

Only if Universal music (Decca) will licence outside of Intrada.

They have been for a few years now -- Scrooged, Rosemary's Baby, The Untouchables...and about 10 other projects we have with them right now. smile

MV

Would BotFoJ expanded be possible though, as LLL would have to licence the unreleased tracks from Universal (the film studio, not the same company as UMG)? Seems only Varese and Intrada have access to Universal Studios vaults (1941 was a once-off according to MV, due to the Sony/Arista connection on that score). Unless something has changed???

Is there really much unreleased Williams music from BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY? My memory is that it is a very short score, with all the major Williams cues appearing on the soundtrack album.

Even if there is according to some unmentionable sources, you can just set your player on repeat with the original CD in the player and play those 20 minutes 3 times in a row and the result will be exactly the same. It's a nice score, but 20 minutes is enough and covers everything important.

Well, there has already been DAVE, GRAND CANYON and WYATT EARP is coming soon from JNH. Maybe three could be actually enough from him for this year... not to mention that there has been several releases by other composers listed as well, so there is still chance LLL is done with them for this year...

Goldsmith: LONELY GUY just needs to happen sooner or later
Elfman: can't think of anything important unreleased besides a couple of unnecessary expansions
Horner: THE HAND, DEADLY BLESSING, I LOVE YOU TO DEATH, APOLLO 13 or SWING KIDS
Kamen: X-MEN
Zimmer: BACKDRAFT would be awesome, or BIRD ON A WIRE, TOYS, COOL RUNNINGS,...
Howard: KING RALPH
Tiomkin: hard to say
Walker: CHICAGO JOE AND THE SHOWGIRL
Bernstein: FUNNY FARM would be definitely great! or finally THE MIRACLE!
Snow: X-FILES VOL 2 is confirmed
Arnold: THE VISITOR pilot, SHAFT, PAUL or STEPFORD WIVES
Morris: SILENT MOVIE or WOMAN IN RED (or LADY IN RED)
Edelman: can't think of anything important

Does THE PELICAN BRIEF really need an expanded release? Was there a lot of music missing from the original album? If I remember, the best cues were on the original.

Since you are so incessantly vocal whenever a new release comes out through ANY company (including LLL) that doesn't release a Delerue score, we made it company policy we will never release one.

wink

Edelman = Ghostbusters 2? Unaware of any factors preventing a release for this score (if they exist). smile

I think the last time I brought up Ghostbusters II, somebody said the tapes are reportedly missing.

Just scrolled through that list.

Revenge of the Ninja (Robert J. Walsh & others)
Missing, possibly damaged beyond use.

Damn! And I doubt Varese will ever just re-issue the vinyl on CD. (At least, I don't think it was ever on CD, just vinyl.)

And how about LLLAND release something new by greatest Jerry Fielding?..
(The Mechanic reissue is not enough)

Correct, it was only on vinyl, never on CD.
