So no LLL release then? frown

Yavar

Nope. Sorry guys. It definitely would have been a foolish move now considering you can buy the import for $20.

That's ok though -- Kingsman kicks major ass! smile

Major record labels are weird. Why would they say no to free money?

What about Seventh Son, then? smile
Since there is STILL no album announced, is any label actually working on it?
Or after 15 months since it was recorded it will continue just gathering dust for another few years to come?

The movie was screened for the first time at the Sundance festival ("the" indie festival, of all places ... reallly WB has no clue as to manage the Wachowski movies) and by all reports it was a disastrous affair..reactions ranged from indifference to open derision to..walkouts.
Also, looks like there's not going to be any advance screening for critics before the release, which would be a bad sign for every movie, much more so for a wannabe blockbuster with a +100-million$ price tag.
One would like to have faith in the Wachowskis but....Mila Kunis as star of a sci-fi epic?

Listening to it now. Very impressive and fun space opera score. I still prefer JOHN CARTER - but this is in a similar vein.

I second that. Lokutus has reason to fixate on Seventh Son. As a Beltrami fan, I'd kick him out of the club if he didn't!

well plenty of other threads to make the point other than a giacchino thread for Jupiter ascending.

tell that to those who were constantly bitching about Predator 2, which as it shows didn't really need expansion.

You were absolutely right to ask MV about THE SEVENTH SON in this thread.

Apart from that - JUPITER ASCENDING really is a great, very fun score.

Ha! The track "Shadow Chase", at least the first thirty seconds, sounds like poor Giacchino was pretty ardently asked to ape Banos' EVIL DEAD!

Just got done listening to this and was really, really underwhelmed. Just a lot of chopping motifs and very little melody or interest. No memorable themes and only a few really stand-out passages. Definitely nowhere in the league of JOHN CARTER. Not worth the 104 minute (!!!) runtime. Blah.
