Hello all,

First time I have posted in this forum, though I have enjoyed following it for several years. I didn't see a topic about this yet so I thought I would jump in. My brother and I watched Prince Avalanche through Netflix earlier this week and the score/music has kind of stuck with me. I was wondering if anyone else has watched the film and/or listened to the soundtrack. I haven't heard of Explosions in the Sky before, but I enjoyed their effort on this film.

Thanks,
Joseph

Explosions in the Sky is actually a post-rock (long-form, instrumental rock) band. If you enjoyed the PRINCE AVALANCHE score (I did too - it's one of my favorite of the year) then you're immediately ready to dive into any of their other work, particularly the album "All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone" which includes the epic "It's Natural To Be Afraid." Their score for the FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS film kick-started the post-rock/ambient trend in film scoring and probably paved the way for artists like This Will Destroy You to be stamped everywhere during and after MONEYBALL.
