Recently Marvel announced their release dates up to 2019 (read all about it here: http://io9.com/marvel-schedules-movie-releases-through-2019-1607969773).

With that many films coming up – some known, most of them unknown – don't you love to see Bear McCreary getting a gig? The last scores from Marvel Studios seem to get better and better; it looks like the studio is getting to understand how important and influential a well crafted and melodic film score can be. And I'd love to hear Bear in a darkend theater.

How about Bear on Dr. Strange?

I'm with you on that one! McCreary has done solid work on (the generally under-rated) Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and for me created one of the two best themes from last year on TV (the other one being Brian Tyler's Sleepy Hollow - CD's for both of these please).

So yes, McCreary for Doctor Strange.

Please no. His score is the thing that iritates me most about SHIELD.

I would be happy with that, but frankly he's already so busy and the overall Marvel scores so ignominious that I am not unhappy that he's not in there yet.

His score for S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of my favorite parts of the show - I'm all for it! Brian Tyler needs to go

I'm all for him, but would really rather they maintain some sort of musical continuity in this whole damn MCU thing.

That's my post for this fiscal quarter.

Tyler's not going anywhere when it comes to Marvel. Deal with it.

FYI, the director of DOCTOR STRANGE has had Christopher Young score 3 or his last 4 films...

As far as I'm concerned, Christopher Young would be a perfect fit for this project, I'm sure it would be a dream project for him.

Bear will get his chance, sooner then later I suspect.

I think it's about time Bear McCreary gets his due with some real major features.

Not really understanding some of the hate towards the SHIELD score - I think it is fantastic and you have to remember that the composer is at the mercy of what the director and producers request him to do.
