I finally got to see this 2005 Tony Scott film. I have seen all his features now, except The Hunger.
I'm a big fan of the way he made movies, although I'm the first to accept that they are more style than substance. Domino is no exception. My favorite scene may have been the one where Tom Waits suddenly appears as "the wanderer" in the desert.
No doubt that I will miss Tony Scott and the movies he never got to make, although he was 68 and probably would soon retire if he didn't choose the ending he did.
There was some good stuff by HGW in Domino. I wonder if there will ever be a score release, or maybe there is not enough material?

Don't quote me, but I remember Gregson-Williams saying this score was very fragmented and that a score was unlikely for release since it was made of 100+ very short cues.
Not the feeling I had after I had seen the film. Didn't feel like particularly short cues. And isn't it possible to put shorter cues into longer suites?

The worst movie of 2005 (and one of the worst I've seen, period). HATED this movie, everything about it.

I haven't seen the film, but the score itself I find to be unlistenable. Mostly just annoying, but also boring in other parts.
Never been a fan of those techno-scores, although I do like Spy Game, but that's not all that kind of style...
Well, don't you think Trevor Rabin has written his share of those kind of scores?

Not a fan of Rabin's scores of that kind either, no...
As for Domino, I guess not all of it are "unlistenable" after all ... at least it's not just annoying techno stuff, which I may have said...
But I don't think it would be something I would find myself listen much to though.
Gregson-Williams' "Unstoppable" is one of his best scores IMO:

Fantastic, undervalued movie which should be re-appraised in respect to both Mr. Scott's as well as Domino Harvey's lives. The score fits like an acid-covered glove, though it reuses material from Man on Fire quite frequently. I say keep it as is in the film, and keep listening to Man on Fire.
But 'Man On Fire' is a pretty shitty score as well !
