Sorry if this has been posted before, but Mark McKenzie is performing a piano concert of his own works in Lake City, Minnesota today (September 25th) @ 7:30 p.m. Sounds like there will be a reception, film clips, and a question and answer time too....all for free!
I had lunch with Mark and Pat Russ several weeks ago, and he was telling us about this performance. He's rarely done live performances, and he was extremely excited about interacting with an audience, and being able to "give something back" with his music. He is a wonderful, generous soul. All the best today, my friend.
Unfortunately I was unable to attend. It really was a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend a concert out in the boonies of Minnesota with a musician of Mark's caliber. I know there are a lot of film music fans in Minnesota so hopefully someone will let us know how it went and post some pictures!
