Nope... not what you're thinking! I guess this will only be of interest to those of us who are older than, say, 30. Did you have a favorite record label? More specifically, the PAPER labels on 45 rpms? I LOVED the Captiol Records label(All those Beatles 45s my sister had... loved them!)... Parrot also comes to mind.
Can any of you think of some more?

I had all of the Beatles' 45's from CAPITOL (later APPLE), but my very favorite label back then was MOTOWN!

When Apple Records first began, the label was distributed by EMI in the U.K. and Capitol in the U.S. The recordings had different catalog numbers in the two countries.

Didn't The Eagles record some for STAX in the mid-70s?

I refer to the blue label discs

The Blue Stax record label had a relatively short life but was pretty successful in establishing the 'Stax' brand in the UK. There were only 42 singles - 601001 to 601042.

There was Decca Records, which had a confusing label history in the '60s. Some had the red or black modern label, and some had the "Decca" letters in rainbow colors, against the multicolored strip. Strangely enough, the arrow with the harlequin was on the covers, but not on the label.
