MONDAY, MARCH 2

GAME OF THRONES---poster released for Season 5.

SHARKNADO 3---Syfy announced cameos for the latest sequel. Mark Cuban, Dallas Mavericks owner, will play the President of the United States, and commentator/author Ann Coulter will play the Vice President. Other cameos include Bo Derek (10), Jerry Springer, Chris Jericho and Chris Kirkpatrick. The sequel is set in Washington, DC and then spreads along the East coast. The premiere is in July.

ANTHROPOID---Jamie Dornan (FIFTY SHADES OF GREY) and Cillian Murphy (BATMAN BEGINS) star in this World War II movie based on the book in which two British-trained Czech soldiers parachute into their homeland to assassinate SS head Reinhard Heydrich, "The Butcher of Prague". Sean Ellis (CASHBACK) is the director.

SUPERGIRL---Helen Slater (SUPERGIRL, 1984 movie) and Dean Cain (LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN) have joined the cast of the CBS series in undisclosed roles.

THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN---Ethan Hawke is in negotiations to co-star with Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt in the remake of the classic 1960 Western that starred Yul Bryner, Steve McQueen, James Coburn, and Charles Bronson.

BREWSTER'S MILLIONS---Warner Bros. remake underway of the movies based on the novel. The first remake in 1985 starred Richard Pryor, and the original 1945 movie starred Dennis O'Keefe. Robert Townsend (HOLLYWOOD SHUFFLE) is the director.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY---cinematographer Seamus McGarvey commented on Dakota Johnson's pubic hair in the movie, "Dakota had kind of a patch that went over her pubic area, and right round her whole body. We were in the curious situation, in post-production, of adding [pubic hair]. I wouldn’t say it was one of the highlights of my career, but it certainly was one of the most surreal scenarios." He added, "We did have a butt double for Dakota. I had the pleasure of casting a non tattooed bottom — Surreal Scenario No. 2."

THE CROWDED ROOM---Leonardo DiCaprio will star in this movie based on the book THE MINDS OF BILLY MULLIGAN in which a man with 24 different personalities was arrested for kidnapping and raping three women.

DOWNTON ABBEY---Maggie Smith confirmed she's leaving the series amid rumors the series may be cancelled due to declining ratings, "They say this is the last one, and I can't see how it could go on. I mean, I certainly can't keep going. To my knowledge, I must be 110 by now. We're into the late 1920s."

BRUCE LEE---untitled biomovie of the martial arts star is underway which will be the first to have full cooperation from his family.

GREEN LANTERN---Michelle Rodriguez (FAST & FURIOUS) created a racial controversy when she commented on rumors she will be playing Green Lantern, "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I think it's so stupid because of this whole 'minorities in Hollywood' thing. Stop stealing all the white people's superheroes. Make up your own. What's up with that?"
She later clarified her comments, "What I really meant to say was, there's a language. The language that you speak in Hollywood is 'successful franchise.' And I think there are many cultures in Hollywood that are not white that can come up with their own mythology.
It doesn't matter what culture you come from. I'm just saying that instead of trying to turn a girl character into a guy or instead of trying to turn a white character into a black character or a Latin character, I think that people should stop being lazy and people should actually make an effort in Hollywood to develop their own mythology..."

LUCIFER---Tom Ellis (ONCE UPON A TIME) will star in the Fox/DC Comics pilot.

SUICIDE SQUAD---Viola Davis confirmed she will play Amanda Walker in the movie based on the DC Comic.

MACGRUBER---Will Forte commented on a possible sequel, "It seems like we have a realistic shot at getting it made. We have a loose outline of the first couple of acts, which we're really excited about. So we've just got to flesh it out a little more..."

ADVENTURE TIME---Warner Bros. animated movie underway based on the Cartoon Network series.

Thats one nice poster. And I only have to wait a year or more for the BluRay.

(HBO frown voice)

As for Rodriguez, yay! Nice to hear that - a much overdue perspective. Thank you...
