Does anyone know if the music from "Kitty Hawk" on this album includes most of the highlights from the film? The track here is just over 10 minutes, and he wrote about 20 minutes of music for the film. I haven't seen the 29 minute film, so don't know what from the complete score is missing, and how complete a representation this track is of his overall effort. This track is so gorgeous and if the other 10 minutes are similar to this, I certainly hope to have the entire score released some day.

It is not a highlight reel or suite.

The cue "Kitty Hawk" is the 10 minute finale cue of the film, which leads directly into the end credits, which is actually "Conquest Of The Air". Subtract the running time of these two cues, and what's left is what's missing for the first 15 or so minutes of the short film.

Kitty Hawk plays over a montage showing the eventual death of Wilbur Wright intercut with the successful test flight of their refined prototype aircraft.

The score in the film is all synth so these two cues are technically the only time they've ever been recorded with an orchestra.
