Well here's hoping for them to at last release SILENT RUNNING. Only ever got a vinyl release, I'm hoping the 'archives' is a reference to older scores/licensies. Regards releases that were on cd GHOST STORY would be welcome.
Then again this is Varese after all so I refuse to get my hopes up.
very cool I can't wait. Been a fan of theirs since the LATE LATE 70's almost from the beginning in 1978, but i started in 1979. sounds like we're going to get some cool stuff from way back when. can't wait for the full on announcement of what this is.
thsui is the type of stuff we want, old cool soundtracks back when the music was interesting and had themes and all that stuff.
way to go varese, btw dmd glad you are or were a part of this project, was this your idea as you know what we want.
if there is a cd in the video why would they have it if they were going to do a vinyl lineup? seems like if they were going to do a vinyl lineup they would not have a CD anywhere in the video. i'm guessing these releases will be some old cool vinyl releases put on cd. since they went to great lengths to make a video i'm guessing this isn't just one score but probably a lot of scores if i had to guess
Vinyl to CD. Meaning some long-awaited titles will be making the jump to physical media. Plenty of reason to get excited about this. I can only hope to see such titles as Cat's Eye, The Fourth Man, Dance with a Stranger and Blind Date finally hit cd's. Vinyl was how I was introduced to Varese, so I'm truly excited about these prospects, which I suspect will satisfy many fans. Props to Peter Hackman for being a big motivator behind this. I can definitely say he's a man at the label with true fan interests at heart.
I'm just satin', but I really wouldn't mind if some of these were *expanded* rather than just straight reissues of vinyl albums (excluding re recordings of course where there's presumably nothing to expand).

Thank you for the props, but we have to mention the whole team at Varese who worked tirelessly on this project like Cary, Bryon, Jeff and Bill!
varese needs a lot more than that vague and info-less teaser to drum up excitement from me at this point. not getting pulled into what will almost assuredly be another questionable endeavor.
